The article has been dedicated to the implementation of grassroots social innovations (aimed at tackling local social problems) by Polish NGOs. The aim of the article is to identify variables that differentiate organizations that implement these innovations from those which do not have such experiences. Based on the literature review, four such variables were differentiated. The results of the empirical studies carried out in 2017 on a random sample of non-governmental organizations located in Łódź (active in continuous operation) were presented. Statistical analysis was carried out with the U Manna-Whitney test. The result of the study is to identify one variable statistically significant (this was hiring by organizations the employees for civil-law contracts). The application value of the conclusions was highlighted.

Artykuł poświęcono rzadko podejmowanej w Polsce problematyce wdrażania przez organizacje pozarządowe oddolnych innowacji społecznych, tj. innowacji ukierunkowanych na rozwiązywanie lokalnych problemów społecznych. Jego celem jest zidentyfikowanie zmiennych, które odróżniają organizacje wdrażające te innowacje od tych, które takich doświadczeń nie posiadają. Na podstawie przeglądu literatury przedmiotu wyróżniono cztery takie zmienne. Zaprezentowano wyniki badań empirycznych przeprowadzonych w 2017 r. na losowej próbie organizacji pozarządowych posiadających siedzibę w Łodzi, prowadzących działalność w trybie ciągłym. Analizy statystyczne przeprowadzono za pomocą testu U Manna-Whitneya. Efektem badań jest zidentyfikowanie jednej zmiennej istotnej statystycznie w tym zakresie (było to zatrudnianie przez organizacje pracowników na umowy cywilnoprawne). Podkreślono walor aplikacyjny wyprowadzonych wniosków.
