Research background: Online shopping is becoming popular among most customers thanks to quickness and easy shopping, and also due the COVID pandemic. Companies are aware of the great interest of customers and, as a consequence, e-commerce is expanding. There has been a significant increase in online grocery purchases due to economic growth in the past few years. Online shopping attracts a lot of research interest, individual authors and this is a widely discussed topic. It should be borne in mind that online purchasing of food has its own peculiarities compared to the segment of electronics or fashion from the perspective of everyday needs. Purpose of the article: The aim of the study is to analyze specific consumer behaviour in online purchasing of groceries. This study takes into account the age and purchasing preferences of online grocery purchasers. Methods: The study was conducted using quantitative research. Data (n = 171) was obtained by using a questionnaire survey done in the Czech Republic. The questionnaire survey contained 17 questions. For the statistical evaluation, Chi-square test and Pearson's correlation test were used. For the statistical evaluation, Chi-square test and Pearson´s correlation test were used. Findings & value added: The results of the study indicate that there is a relationship between the age of customers and online purchase in the grocery field. However, customers who use the         e-shop for grocery purchase are still reluctant to buy perishable goods (meat, pastries) and prefer goods that are packed directly by the manufacturer. The study sheds light on understanding the customers? purchasing behaviour and their preferences in terms of quality of service, payment terms, delivery conditions, and range of assortment.

Research background: An essential part of marketing practice in contemporary food retail is the store flyer campaign, in which goods are offered at discounted prices. Even if it is not a new innovation in the field of sales promotion, its popularity does not decrease, and what's more, in many countries it is still one of the most successful forms of promotion and communication with customers. Purpose of the article: This article brings an answer to the question of how to plan a successful store flyer campaign. The goal is to design the process of planning such campaign based on the knowledge of price elasticity of demand. The rate of success is represented by the level of fulfillment of goals set by the merchant. Methods: The area of the research is the Czech retail food market . The knowledge of the price elasticity of demand is based on the analysis of real terms of prices, sales volumes and margins, and the typology of goals we want to achieve. The proposed method of planning determines the evaluation rules for products in terms of their suitability for inclusion in a store flyer. The calculated values of price elasticity of demand and their changes during the time phases of the campaign are used as a knowledge base for a planning of consumers' responses to the store flyer. The principle of planning is demonstrated in a case study. Findings & Value added:  The practical output of the proposed process is the answer to the question of which goods should be included in the store flayer to achieve the goals set for the campaign. This study gives the method of identifying the groups of products which are suitable for inclusion in the store flyer and recommends the rules for the planning of the campaign.

The paper presents the internationalization processes in the grocery retail market in Poland in 1990–2015. The study was conducted on the basis of the analysis of secondary data which allowed identifying foreign entities operating in this market and describing key dimensions of their strategy. The basic conclusions of the analysis are the following: (1) market dominance of foreign companies in the grocery retail market – their market share was above 50%; (2) the breakthrough year in the process of internationalization was 2001; (3) the most common entry strategy was greenfield direct investment; (4) foreign investors came from highly developed European countries; (5) foreign companies operate on the basis of large-format stores (supermarkets, hypermarkets, discount stores).

Artykuł przedstawia procesy internacjonalizacji w sektorze handlu detalicznego artykułami spożywczymi w Polsce w latach 1990–2015. Badania zostały przeprowadzone na podstawie analizy danych wtórnych, pozwalających zidentyfikować podmioty zagraniczne prowadzące działalność w tym sektorze oraz opisać kluczowe wymiary ich strategii. Do podstawowych wniosków z przeprowadzonych analiz można zaliczyć następujące charakterystyki: (1) dominacja rynkowa przedsiębiorstw zagranicznych w handlu detalicznym artykułami spożywczymi – osiągnęły udział w rynku powyżej 50%; (2) rokiem przełomu w procesach internacjonalizacji był rok 2001; (3) najczęściej stosowaną strategią wejścia była inwestycja bezpośrednia typu greenfield; (4) krajem pochodzenia podmiotów zagranicznych były przede wszystkim wysokorozwinięte kraje europejskie; (5) podmioty zagraniczne prowadzą działalność w formie wielkopowierzchniowych sklepów (supermarketów, hipermarketów, sklepów dyskontowych).

Celem publikacji jest przedstawienie procesów deinternacjonalizacji w sektorze handlu detalicznego artykułami spożywczymi w Polsce w latach 1990-2016 na gruncie teorii instytucjonalnej. Procesy deinternacjonalizacji zostały opisane w następujących wymiarach: stopień deinternacjonalizacji, czas wejścia, strategia wejścia, format, kraj pochodzenia, czas wyjścia, czas działalności, strategia wyjścia. Badania opierają się na analizie danych wtórnych.

Deinternationalisation processes have been described in the following dimensions of foreign entities: level of deinternationalisation, time of enter, entry strategy, home country, time of exit, exit strategy. The study was conducted on the basis of the analysis of secondary data.

Изучение основано на анализе вторичных данных.
