Basic concepts related to cyberspace were discussed and health and social threats resulting from the use of the Internet by children and adolescents were presented. Based on the literature on the subject and the professional experience of the authors, conclusions were made that are important for pedagogical practice.

The problem area of safety can be dealt with in many different ways. In my opinion, one of the more and more often appearing problems of the globalized world is protection against threats existing in the sphere of health safety and prevention of threats connected with terrorism. It seems only too appropriate to begin considerations on the question of health safety and preventing the terrorism threat with an attempt at defining the multi-form notion of safety. The practice to date shows that the problem area is still raising numerous controversies. However, the question of safety dealt with in the first part of the present considerations was discussed in the context of two phenomena: prevention in the area of health safety and terrorism threat. Especial attention should be paid to two phenomena taking on two forms: terrorism and health safety. Even though the heterogeneity of the phenomena does not allow accepting uniform procedures within safety protection, the need to elaborate uniform strategies and preventive mechanisms appears to be the common denominator. I am aware of the fact that the presentation of the problems undertaken in this paper is of the fragmentary character only, but I hope that in the future it will provide a strong impulse to make further deepened analyses and conduct comparative research.

The societies of developed countries, including Poland, are characterized by the dissemination of manifestations of the consumer lifestyle, which leads to a systematic deterioration of health and quality of life. The health and health safety should be systematically monitored and given in-depth scientific analyses, also from the perspective of pedagogy and sociology. In the scientific discourse there are various issues concerning both health hazards (inter alia related to globalization changes and lifestyle) and health promotion (for example, shaping pro-health attitudes and dissemination of participation in physical culture). Promoting a healthy lifestyle must be accompanied by investments in the material cultural-educational and sports-recreational base as well as by educational influences shaping the necessary level of knowledge and skills in the field of health.

W niniejszej pracy, w oparciu o dane z piśmiennictwa, zaprezentowano definicje bezpieczeństwa, bezpieczeństwa zdrowotnego oraz przedstawiono krótki rys historyczny opieki pielęgniarskiej nad uczniami. Omówiono zadania pielęgniarki środowiska nauczania i wychowania, wskazując na jej rolę w planowaniu i realizowaniu świadczeń profilaktycznej opieki zdrowotnej w zakresie promocji zdrowia, profilaktyki chorób, świadczeń diagnostycznych oraz świadczeń pielęgnacyjno-leczniczych. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie roli pielęgniarki środowiska nauczania i wychowania w obszarze bezpieczeństwa zdrowotnego uczniów w szkole.

The protection of students’ safety needs constitutes a challenge for educational institutions because of the fact that some negative phenomena, such as aggression, violence or abuse of psychoactive substances by children and adolescents have a negative impact on their health and development in adolescence. This paper contains the following definitions based on literary resources: safety, health safety and a brief historical overview of nursing care students. The tasks performed by nurses in the fields of education and formation have been discussed, with particular stress on their role in planning and implementation of preventive health care services in the fields of health promotion, disease prevention, diagnostic services as well as nursing and medical benefits. Artykuł podejmuje tematykę psychologicznych mechanizmów bezpieczeństwa zdrowotnego. Na początku rozważań wyjaśnione zostało pojęcie zdrowia oraz jego klasyczny podział. Zdrowie jest to nie tylko brak choroby ale również stan fizycznego, społecznego i umysłowego dobrostanu. Stąd zdrowie możemy podzielić na fizyczne (somatyczne) i psychiczne. Zdrowie i bezpieczeństwo są uważane za najważniejsze wartości dla człowieka Czynnikami wpływającymi na bezpieczeństwo zdrowotne są przede wszystkim czynniki psychiczne, fizyczne i środowiskowe. W niniejszym artykule przeanalizowane są dwa pierwsze. Czynniki somatyczne odnoszą się do czysto biologicznych aspektów życia organizmu, psychologiczne do zdolności adaptacyjnych i społecznych. Psychosfera z jednej strony kształtuje bezpieczeństwo zdrowotne poprzez odpowiednie mechanizmy, ale z drugiej mechanizmy te w niektórych interakcjach mogą stać się problemami, które szerzej wyjaśnione zostały w ostatniej części pracy.

The article raises a subject of psychological mechanism of health safety. At the beginning of deliberations a term of health with its classic division was introduced. Health is not merely the absence of disease but also a state of physical, social and mental welfare. Hence, health can be divided into physical (somatic) and psychological. Health and safety are considered the most important value for human. Factors affecting health safety are primarily mental, physical and environmental. The article examines the first two. Somatic factors relate to purely biological aspects of life of an organism, while psychological to adaptability and societal. Through appropriate mechanisms psychosphere forms health safety on the one hand, but on the other the mechanisms in some interactions can pose problems that are explained more extensively in the last part of the work.

One of the voivodeship governor’s areas of public activities encompasses health safety. Being the element of this safety, health protection is the area requiring both responsible and efficient measures, as well as considerable financial means. One of the aspects of the governor’s activity within this area is preventing and eradicating human infections and infectious diseases. Within the local area competence, the governor may announce a sanitary epidemiological risk or an epidemic on the territory of the entire voivodeship or its part, introducing orders, prohibitions or obligations provided for in the laws in force.

Jedną z publicznych sfer działania wojewody jest przestrzeń bezpieczeństwa zdrowotnego. Ochrona zdrowia, jako element tego bezpieczeństwa, jest tym obszarem, który wymaga zarówno odpowiedzialnych i skutecznych działań, jak i znacznych nakładów finansowych. Jednym z aspektów aktywności wojewody w przestrzeni bezpieczeństwa zdrowotnego jest zapobieganie oraz zwalczanie zakażeń i chorób zakaźnych u ludzi. W granicach właściwości miejscowej wojewoda w tym zakresie może ogłosić stan zagrożenia epidemicznego lub stan epidemii na obszarze całego województwa bądź jego części, wprowadzając przy tym ustawowo określone nakazy, zakazy czy też obowiązki.

If the activity conducted by an entity or a natural person exploiting the environment which poses a threat to the health and life of other persons, the Voivodeship Inspectorate of Environmental Protection shall decide to cease activity to the extent that is necessary to prevent the deterioration of the environment. Preventing exploitation of the environment by the subject, whose activities pose the threat to the health of other persons, is required to provide health security.

Każdy ma prawo do ochrony zdrowia. Jeżeli działalność prowadzona przez podmiot korzystający ze środowiska albo osobę fizyczną zagraża życiu lub zdrowiu ludzi, wojewódzki inspektor ochrony środowiska jest zobowiązany wydać decyzję o wstrzymaniu tej działalności w zakresie, w jakim jest to niezbędne dla zapobieżenia pogarszaniu stanu środowiska. Wstrzymanie negatywnie wpływającej na zdrowie ludzi działalności podmiotu korzystającego ze środowiska jest wymagane dla zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa zdrowotnego.

Zdrowie i bezpieczeństwo są uważane za najważniejsze wartości dla człowieka. Czynnikami wpływającymi na bezpieczeństwo zdrowotne są przede wszystkim czynniki psychiczne, fizyczne i środowiskowe. W niniejszym artykule przeanalizowane są dwa pierwsze. Czynniki somatyczne odnoszą się do czysto biologicznych aspektów życia organizmu, psychologiczne do zdolności adaptacyjnych i społecznych. Somatosfera i psychosfera z jednej strony kształtują bezpieczeństwo zdrowotne poprzez odpowiednie mechanizmy, ale z drugiej mechanizmy te w niektórych interakcjach mogą stać się problemami, które szerzej wyjaśnione zostały w ostatniej części pracy.

The issue of children’s health safety in early education is often disregarded in re-search and literature and this article attempts to emphasize the importance of this sub-ject in the context of the quality of life of younger generation. As school and home environment are foundations of child’s upbringing and education, the undertaken research was based on school influences and we have asked the Pedagogy students from University in Bielsko-Biała to acknowledge and explain the aspect of children’s health safety on this ground. Future teachers should have a wide knowledge of this subject and have the ability to create awareness of this matter amongst their pupils. The carried out research is a ground to undertake further analysis as the case of health safety plays a huge part of widely understood public health and has a great impact on the whole young generation.

The cooperation of the services that provide help and assistance is of major importance not only for the effectiveness of the rescue actions themselves, but also for the success of the entire rescue operations system. Each element of this kind of cooperation – from the moment of reporting an event to the completion of the rescue operation, has to function in a way that makes sure that people in need receive required assistance in the shortest time possible. An important element of this operational chain is also the guarantee of experience, proper skills and knowledge of those who save the lives of others. Many services cooperate within the Polish State Emergency Medical Rescue system. Their task is to help people in a condition of danger to their life and health. These common features mean that the cooperation of units during rescue operations should be precise and run smoothly without interference. This is the only guarantee of success, and as such it can have a major impact on the level of health safety. This paper presents research findings regarding the scope and significance of cooperation between units and the Polish State Emergency Medical Rescue system, which has an undisputable effect on health safety.

Kooperacja służb, które niosą pomoc ma ogromne znaczenie nie tylko dla skuteczności samych działań ratowniczych, ale i dla powodzenia całej akcji ratunkowej. Każdy element współpracy, począwszy od momentu zgłoszenia zdarzenia do zakończenia wszystkich działań ratowniczych, musi funkcjonować tak, aby osoby potrzebujące pomocy, otrzymały ją w jak najkrótszym czasie. Istotnym elementem jest również to, aby jej udzielanie oparte było na doświadczeniu, umiejętności i wiedzy ratowników. Z systemem Państwowe Ratownictwo Medyczne współpracuje wiele służb. Zadaniem ich wszystkich jest niesienie pomocy osobom w stanie zagrożenia życia i zdrowia. Te wspólne cechy powodują, że współpraca podmiotów podczas działań ratowniczych powinna być precyzyjna i przebiegać płynnie, bez zakłóceń. Tylko w taki sposób będzie można doprowadzić do sukcesów w działaniach oraz skutecznie wpłynąć na poziom bezpieczeństwa zdrowotnego. Celem pracy jest przedstawienie wyników badań dotyczących zakresu i znaczenia współpracy jednostek z systemem PRM mających wpływ na bezpieczeństwo zdrowotne.

W artykule przedstawiono źródła zagrożeń środowiska naturalnego w pracowni artysty. Omówiono skutki stosowania tradycyjnych metod i substancji w kreacji dzieła plastycznego, szczególnie w procesie przygotowania i trawienia metalowych matryc graficznych. W odniesieniu do wybranych technik i materiałów zaproponowano rozwiązania oparte na stosowaniu mniej toksycznych kąpieli trawiących zamiast kwasów, alternatywne techniki przygotowania i trawienia matryc oraz farby i środki czyszczące pozbawione toksycznych substancji. Podkreślono konieczność stosowania proekologicznych rozwiązań ze względu na bezpieczeństwo zdrowotne artysty, studentów i uczniów oraz ochronę środowiska naturalnego.

In the work are presented the sources of environmental hazards in the artist’s workshop studio. The effects of the use of traditional methods and substances in the creation of artistic works are discussed, especially in the preparation and etching of metal graphic matrixes. With regard to selected materials and techniques are proposed solutions based on the use of less toxic pickling baths instead of acids, the alternative techniques of preparation and etching of printing matrixes, inks and cleaners free of toxic substances. In the work the necessity of pro-ecological solutions is highlighted due to the safety of the artist’s and students’ health as well as to protect the environment.
