The paper presents the issue of measurement of sales revenues in heating en-terprises. The main problem is not so much determination when revenue should be recognized, because accounting rules and civil code provisions provide guidance in this respect, but price determination. The factors determining the price are costs of heat generation and distribution and cost of capital engaged in this activity. Heat-ing enterprises calculate the prices themselves, but have to submit the calculations for endorsement to the Energy Regulatory Office (Polish energy regulator).

Artykuł rozpatruje problem pomiaru przychodów ze sprzedaży ciepła. O jego istocie nie decyduje określenie momentu jego osiągnięcia, bo ten można wskazać posługując się zasadami rachunkowości i przepisami Kodeksu cywilnego, jak wyznaczenie ceny. Jest ona zdeterminowana kosztami uzasadnionymi wytwarzania i dystrybucji oraz kosztem z kapitału zaangażowanego w działalność. Przedsiębiorstwa energetyczne, same kalkulują ceny, ale przedkładają je do zatwierdzenia w tzw. taryfie Urzędowi Regulacji Energetyki.
