W artykule prezentujemy, w jaki sposób Izaak Cylkow, przedstawiciel judaizmu postępowego, oddaje i komentuje wybrane mesjańskie proroctwa w swoim przekładzie Biblii hebrajskiej na język polski. W punkcie pierwszym przedstawiono krótką charakterystykę judaizmu w okresie Haskali. Drugi punkt zawiera podstawowe informacje na temat życia i pracy naukowej oraz duszpasterskiej rabina Izaaka Cylkowa. Natomiast w trzecim omówiono hermeneutykę Izaaka Cylkowa wybranych czterech fragmentów Biblii hebrajskiej, które w tradycji żydowskiej lub/i chrześcijańskiej były lub są interpretowane mesjańsko. Tymi tekstami będą: Rdz 49,10; Lb 24,17; Iz 7,14; Ps 110,4.

In this article we will present how Isaac Cylkow, a representative of Progressive Judaism, reflects and comments on selected Messianic prophecies in his translation of the Hebrew Bible into Polish. The first point will be presented a short description of Judaism during the Haskalah. The second point will contain basic information about the life and scientific work of the Rabbi Isaac Cylkow. The third will discuss the hermeneutics of Isaac Cylkow four selected fragments of the Hebrew Bible, which in Jewish and / or Christian Tradition have been or are interpreted as messianic prophecies. These texts will be: Gen 49.10; Num 24.17; Is 7:14; Ps 110.4.

Problem prezentacji zawarty jest w pytaniu: jakie znaczenie współcześnie nadaje Septuagincie Papieska Komisja Biblijna w swoich dokumentach, wydanych po „Sedula cura”? Wydaje się, że referencje do LXX są w ostatnich dokumentach PKB dość skromne i często niejednoznaczne. W zasadzie jest ona postrzegana jako żydowska Biblia Grecka. Ponieważ jest także chrześcijańskim Starym Testamentem, rozpoznanym i uznanym przez Kościół, Papieska Komisja Biblijna uznaje ten fakt, niemniej jednak nie poświęca Septuagincie (LXX) znaczącego i adekwatnego miejsca w swojej refleksji.

This presentation focuses on the question: what meaning does the Pontifical Biblical Commission in its documents promulgated after Sedula cura give to the Septuagint in our times? It seems that the references to the LXX appear in the latest documents of the Commission in a rather humble way and frequently ambiguously. The Septuagint is basically perceived as the Jewish Greek Bible. Since it is also the Christian Old Testament, identified and recognised by the Church, the Pontifical Biblical Commission accepts this fact, but in its reflection it does not assign a significant and adequate place to the Septuagint.
