The article is an attempt to present some observations in the current debate on the state of economics in the face of the global crisis. First, we try to reconstruct recent developments in economics using some basic linguistic tools. Second, we present the current public debate on the state of economics, especially macroeconomics, and we underline some methodological issues concerning the ability of economics to describe and explain the contemporary global crisis. Finally, we conclude with the statement that the current economic crisis may contribute to the growing plurality and pluralism of mainstream economics.

The purpose of the analysis is to present Edward Taylor’s theory concerning the meaning of static and dynamic approaches. This Poznań economist, who advocated the approach of a research programme initiated by A. Marshall, called for a broadening of the perspective based on thinking in terms of equilibrium models with the dynamic approach. This would make it possible to answer questions prompted by those determinants that shape exogenous variables omitted in reflections based on both the model of general equilibrium and partial equilibrium

Przejawy rachunkowości można znaleźć już w czasach prehistorycznych, kiedy to stanowiła ona esencję ówczesnej myśli ekonomicznej: rozwiązywała problemy związane ze wspólną pracą. W niniejszej publikacji przedstawiono historię rachunkowości, począwszy od pierwszego konta księgowego, poprzez przełomowe dzieło Luki Paciolego, po ewolucję rachunku kosztów stworzonego na potrzeby pierwszych kapitalistów. Praca traktuje nie tylko o badaniach naukowych dotyczących systemu rachunkowości, lecz również o oszukańczej sprawozdawczości finansowej i powołaniu zawodu biegłego rewidenta. Historia rachunkowości wskazuje, że jest to jedna z najstarszych dyscyplin wśród nauk ekonomicznych, a co przy tym najważniejsze: jej założenia wytrzymały próbę czasu: struktura konta księgowego ze stroną WN i MA pozostaje niezmienna od ponad pięciu tysięcy lat.

It is possible to find signs of accounting as far back as prehistoric times, when it constituted the essence of the then contemporary economic thought and solved problems involved in joint labour. This publication presents the history of accounting from the first bookkeeping account through Luca Pacioli’s work that is so crucial to the history of accounting and, finally, the evolution of the bill of charges that was created for the needs of the first capitalists. Research on the system of accounting is presented, as are deceitful financial reporting and the establishment of the profession of Chartered Accountants. The history of accounting shows that it is one of the oldest disciplines of economic studies and, most importantly, the foundations of accounting have stood the test of time. The structure of a bookkeeping account with a Dt and Ct page has remained unchanged for over five thousand years.

W artykule dokonano analizy programu rozwoju społeczno-gospodarczego II Rzeczypospolitej Eugeniusza Kwiatkowskiego, opartego na idei zbiorowej pracy społecznej. Solidarny, twórczy wysiłek wszystkich obywateli ujął on jako podstawę umocnienia gospodarczego i politycznego kraju na arenie międzynarodowej. Pełniąc obowiązki ministra przemysłu i handlu, później wicepremiera i ministra skarbu, przyczynił się do rozwoju strategicznych dziedzin gospodarki m.in. COP-u, Gdyni, Stalowej Woli, Mościc.

The aim of the article is to analyse the socio-economic programme of Eugeniusz Kwiatkowski in the II Republic of Poland, based on the idea of collective social work. Kwiatkowski posited solidarity and the creative efforts of all citizens as a basis for strengthening the economic and political position of the country in the international arena. Fulfilling the duties of the Minister of Industry and Trade and then deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Treasury, he contributed to the development of strategic sectors of the economy, mainly in the COP (Central Industrial Region), Gdynia, Stalowa Wola, and Mościce.
