This is a presentation of heretofore methods of applying non-organic and organic silicone compounds in the conservation o f stone monuments. The author also examines contemporary research into the application of organosilicone compounds for an initial and structural impregnation of stones, the supplementation of gaps and water repellence. Finally, she discusses the virtues and faults of the use o f particular organosilicone compounds.
