Der Text bildet einen Versuch, sich mit einer der ewigen Fragen der russischen Philosophie auseinanderzusetzen: der Frage, wie die russische Idee mit dem Nihilismus verbunden ist und wie der Nihilismus in der russischen Idee zum Vorschein kommt. Der Ausgangspunkt der Überlegungen ist die berühmte Äußerung von Nikolai Bierdia-jew über den Nihilismus der Russen, wobei der Nihilismus als moralische Reflexion über die Kultur und als Ablehnung festgeschriebener Kulturnarrationen verstanden wird. Der erste Teil des Artikel ist der Evolution des Nihilismus-Begriffes auf dem Boden des russischen Gedankens von prosvetitel‘stwo Czernyszewskis und Dostojewskis über Vekhi bis zu ausgewählten Vertretern der russischen religiös-philosophischen Renaissance gewidmet. Der zweite Teil bietet den Einblick in die metaphysische Quelle des Nihilismus an – die existentielle Apathie der Existenz.

This article is an attempt to deal with one of the eternal questions of Russian philosophy: the question of how the Russian idea is related to nihilism and how nihilism manifests itself in the Russian idea, and, on the other hand, to what extent the Russian idea is a Russian nihilism. A famous quote by Nikolai Berdyaev on the nihilism of the Russian people is the starting point for further discussion. Berdyaev states that Russians are nihilists, but this nihilism is understood as a moral reflection on culture and a rejection of the existing culture. The first part of the text is devoted to the meaning of nihilism in Russian thought, beginning with Chernyshevsky’s prosvetitel'stvo and Dostoyevsky, then going through Vekhi, and ending with selected representatives of the Russian Religious Renaissance of the twentieth century. The second part of the article is an insight into the metaphysical source of nihilism – the existential apathy of being.

Niniejszy tekst jest próbą zmierzenia się z jednym z odwiecznych pytań filozofii rosyjskiej: pytaniem, w jaki sposób idea rosyjska związana jest z nihilizmem i jak nihilizm przejawia się w idei rosyjskiej, a z drugiej strony, w jakim stopniu idea rosyjska stanowi realizację rosyjskiego nihilizmu. Punktem wyjścia rozważa jest słynne stwierdzenie Mikołaja Bierdiajewa o nihilizmie Rosjan, przy czym nihilizm ten jest rozumiany jako moralna refleksja nad kulturą i odrzucenie zastanych narracji kulturowych. Pierwsza część artykułu poświęcona jest ewolucji pojęcia nihilizmu na gruncie myśli rosyjskiej poczynając od oświecicielstwa Czernyszewskiego i Dostojewskiego przez Wiechy aż po wybranych przedstawicieli rosyjskiego renesansu religijno-filozoficznego. Natomiast druga część to spojrzenie na metafizyczne źródło nihilizmu – egzystencjalną apatię istnienia.
