The article presents a style change in science communication, which is shown by means of the German translation of Bożena Witosz's monograph Genologia lingwistyczna (Linguistic genology). The reference point for the article is both the first part of the text, in which Witosz discusses the theoretical problems of genology, and the final chapter, where the Polish language research tradition comes to the fore – literary texts are often included as analytical material. The exemplification of this stylistic procedure emphasizes the diverse status of style change in both parts of the monograph.

W artykule ukazano zmianę stylu w komunikacji naukowej na przykładzie monografii Bożeny Witosz Genologia lingwistyczna w tłumaczeniu na język niemiecki. Punktem odniesienia jest zarówno pierwsza część pracy, w której autorka dyskutuje teoretyczne problemy genologii, jak również rozdział końcowy, gdzie dochodzi do głosu polonistyczna tradycja badawcza – teksty literackie nierzadko włącza się jako materiał analityczny.
