Przedmiotem artykułu pozostaje analiza niektórych zagadnień związanych z seksualnością osób z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną. Analizy te osadzono w perspektywie personalistycznej, odwołując się do prac Jeana Vaniera i Antoniego Bartoszka. Przytaczane poglądy autorów na temat sposobów realizacji seksualności osób z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną, rozumianej w sposób wieloaspektowy, z ujęciem sfery fizycznej, psychicznej, społecznej i duchowej, dają możliwość wyjaśnienia zagadnień trudnych i nierzadko ocenianych stereotypowo. Stwarzają również sposobność poszerzenia pewnych kwestii, wyjaśnianych na poziomie naukowym, stanowiąc płaszczyznę dla ich właściwej interpretacji wartościującej. W poszczególnych częściach artykułu omówiono takie zagadnienia, jak uzasadnie­nie seksualności niepełnosprawnych intelektualnie, miłość, małżeństwo, prokreację oraz zachowania seksualne pozaprokreacyjne.

The article comprises a selection of issues related to sexuality of individuals with an intellectual disability. The analysis was conducted from the personalist perspective found in the works of Jean Vanier and Antoni Bartoszek. These authors’ ideas on the issues of how individuals with an intellectual disability realize their sexuality (seen as a multi-facet phenomenon) including the physical, mental, social and spiritual spheres, were used to explicate phenomena that are difficult and often judged stereotypically. They also offer a chance to expand on certain issues explained on the scientific level, giving a robust basis for their appropriate evaluative interpretation. Specific sections of the article pertain to issues such as justifying sexuality of individuals with an intellectual disability, love, marriage, procreation and non-procreative behavior.
