Wpływ autorytetu literackiego na emocje odbiorcy podczas czytania poezji – omówienie wyników eksperymentu

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie oraz omówienie wyników eksperymentu związanego z percepcją emocjonalną poezji. W badaniu podjęto próbę weryfikacji hipotezy, według której pojawienie się znanego nazwiska kojarzonego jako wielki poetycki talent wpłynie na silniejsze deklaratywne natężenie przeżywanych emocji. Przebadano 110 osób (52 mężczyzn; 58 kobiet) podzielonych na cztery losowo dobrane grupy. Arkusze poszczególnych grup różniły się między sobą nazwiskiem rzekomego autora lub jego brakiem (grupa kontrolna). Wyniki udowodniły, że autorytet wpływa nie tylko na siłę deklarowanych emocji, ale też istotnie determinuje rodzaj przeżywanej emocji. Doprowadza to do wniosku, iż utworowi poetyckiemu częściej przypisujemy cechy i emocje kojarzone z jego autorem niż z samą treścią utworu.

The purpose of this article is a presentation and discussion of the results of an experiment connected with the emotional perception of poetry. This research sought to verify the hypothesis which states that revealing a famous name, associated with huge poetic talent, influences the intensity of emotions experienced. 110 people were tested (52 men, 58 women) in four randomly selected groups. Each group had a sheet of paper with the same text but with different authors' names or without any name (control group). The poem was written specially for this experiment. The next step was to measure of type and stremgth of emotions experienced on a scale of 1 to 7. The results proved that author's status not only influences the strength of emotion, but also determines the type of emotion. This suggests that more often we attribute the character and emotion of a poetic work to the author, rather than the content of the work.
