Infografika cieszy się coraz większą popularnością w różnych dziedzinach przekazu informa-cji, wiedzy lub prezentacji danych. Ciekawa, a często zaskakująca lub humorystyczna oprawa graficzna sprawia, że treść skupia uwagę i zapada w pamięć czytelnika. Oto przyczyny, dla któ-rych autorzy postanowili przyjrzeć się bliżej temu rodzajowi grafiki, koncentrując się na możliwo-ści jej wykorzystania w procesie edukacji. Zwięzła graficzna forma przekazu dobrze dopasowuje się do sposobu percepcji i preferencji współczesnego odbiorcy. Jednakże, z drugiej strony, krótka forma wymusza na twórcy dużą selekcję treści i pomysł na ich atrakcyjną prezentację. W szkol-nych podręcznikach można znaleźć kontrprzykłady na poprawne wykorzystanie potencjału eduka-cyjnego, które daje tego typu grafika. Artykuł wprowadza czytelnika w świat budowy infografik, wskazując istotną rolę eseju, na którym osnuta jest treść przekazu, nie tylko edukacyjnego. Autorzy zwracają uwagę na ważne składowe grafiki, takie jak: źródła informacji, dane statystyczne, grafiki oraz sposób realizacji treści eseju. Artykuł stanowi krótki przewodnik po infografice prowadząc Czytelnika– od pomysłu po realizację.

Infographics are increasingly more popular in the various fields of transferring information, knowledge and presentation of data. Interesting and often surprising or humorous graphic design makes the content easy to focus on and memorisable. Here are the reasons why the authors decided to take a closer look at this kind of graphics, focusing on the possibilities of using it in the educa-tion process. The concise, graphical form of the message is well suited to the perception and pref-erences of the contemporary recipient. However, on the other hand, the short form forces on the creators a large selection of content and an idea for their attractive presentation. In the school textbooks you can find counters for the correct use of the educational potential of this type of graphics. The article introduces the reader to the world of infographics by pointing out the essential role of the essay, on which the message is conveyed, but does not educate directly. Authors pay atten-tion to the important components of graphics such as: sources of information, statistics, graphics and implementation of the assay’s content. The article is a short guide to infographics, leading the reader from idea to implementation.
