The author raises the issues of information aggression, information space full of both values and anti-values causing the danger of development of aggressive consumer ideology, total commercialization of culture and posing a threat both for a person and the state. The information society requires taking into account consciousness transformation process, i.e. the way people analyze problems, receive, communicate and generalize information and form their attitude to it. People’s world outlook, their life values and ideals, social and personal orientation as well as cultural and esthetic attitudes are considered to be the objects of information security in the spiritual sphere. The state is not able to control all the information flows and channels of obtaining information by ordinary citizens. This is especially felt in the conditions of war, as the enemy constantly changes the forms and methods of destructive influence, resorting to hybrid techniques. This is why media literacy needs to use new mechanisms for its improvement and dissemination. The ability to resist and oppose the information attacks of an enemy will depend on the consciousness and awareness of each individual and society as a whole. This article sheds light on this problem. It is also indicated that disinformation campaigns are becoming more and more widespread and pose a serious threat to critical infrastructure and democratic processes in the state.

States have always participated in negative cooperation, both of a military and non-military charakter. It has been and is supported by information operations conducted within the framework of the ongoing global information conflict. Its participants engage in information aggression for various reasons. This aggression is present in the personal and technical information space, which allows, with ongoing scientific, technical, and technological progress, to adapt ICT, communication, and cyberspace techniques for this type of activity. Information aggression is directed at man and the fight for his soul while pursuing particular interests through the activity of participating entities. The changing environment of states is accompanied by intensified information operations, where there are elements specific to information aggression. Access to information in almost real time, as well as bombarding societies with huge amounts of information with no time to verify it, facilitates information aggression. One should be aware that the phenomena, events and processes occurring in the global security space will continue to be assessed by state and non-state entities, each of which will strive to take a significant position in the process of shaping the international security environment in the 21st century. It is not only about the present, but also about the future, where information aggression will mark an increasing presence in the global information space.
