The ranking of cities according to their individual intellectual (innovative, organizational, creative, central, etc.) potential is actual and important for geographic studies in the epoch of post--industrialization. The results of such ranking can be applied in various aspects and directions of regional policy.The very idea of such ranking seems to have been first formulated in France in the early 1960s. The research concerned was aimed at solving the problem of hyper-centralization in that country through forming ‘metropoles d’equilibre’ in the periphery, to counterbalance Paris. The task was to find the French cities which were ready to fulfill this role. Later, we have used this idea to rank Siberian cities as to their administrative potential. The important innovation in methodology was introduction of a principally new index, crucial just for Siberia (although maybe less important in Europe). This index is the distance from the nearest comparable or obviously more significant city
Concept of innovation induces a high degree of association with the problem of high costs and the highest possible risk. Many companies solves a significant problem in the management of production associated with the financing of technological development and innovation. In every large company manufacturing managers declare that they have more projects they would like implemented as funds that may be used. Reasons for this are : low expected return, risk and unreliability associated with the project, and excessive optimism group managers. This article focuses on the theoretical aspects of innovation financing and outlines the importance of venture funds to finance innovation in companies. Summarizes and gives an overview of the most important works and basic ideas in this area of research, together with an outline of the capabilities and limitations posed by venture funds as a source of innovation funding for SMEs. Refine addresses factors affecting the financing of innova tion, and specifically discussed in this context the problem of asymmetric information, moral hazard, fiscal aspects and cash flow. Przedsiębiorczość i innowacje to pojęcia ściśle ze sobą powiązane. Zwłaszcza współcześnie, w globalnej gospodarce, w warunkach radykalnych zmian, pojęcia te traktowane są jako zależne od siebie. Innowacje to narzędzia w rękach przedsiębiorców; przedsiębiorczość to źródło innowacji; przedsiębiorcy to innowatorzy gospodarki – to tylko wybrane określenia odnoszące się do zależności między przedsiębiorczością i innowacjami. To dzięki kreatywnym przedsiębiorcom i tworzonym dzięki nim innowacjom, przedsiębiorstwa mogą skutecznie konkurować na globalnym rynku. Celem opracowania było ukazanie zależności między przedsiębiorczością i innowacjami. Podstawowe pytanie badawcze, na które poszukiwano odpowiedzi brzmiało: Czy wdrażanie innowacji to efekt przedsiębiorczości czy konieczność wynikająca z chęci utrzymania odpowiedniego poziomu efektywności? Rozważania teoretyczne poparte zostały wynikami badań własnych dotyczących uwarunkowań wdrażania innowacyjnej techniki RFID.

Entrepreneurship and innovations are strictly interrelated notions, which, particularly nowadays – in global economy and the conditions of radical changes are considered reciprocally dependent. Innovations are the tools in entrepreneurs’ hands; entrepreneurship is a source of innovations; entrepreneurs are the innovators of the economy – these are only some selected descriptions pertaining to the relations between entrepreneurship and innovations. It is owing to creative entrepreneurs and the innovations they create that enterprises can successfully compete on the global market. The paper aims to depict the relations between entrepreneurship and innovations. The main research question which was to be answered reads as follows: Does innovation implementation ensue from entrepreneurship or is it a necessity resulting from the will to maintain a certain level of effectiveness? Theoretical considerations were supported with the determinants of the implementation of the RFID technology.

Tekst przedstawia podstawowe ustalenia o audiodeskrypcji oraz prezentuje możliwości wykorzystania jej w praktyce szkolnej na lekcjach języka polskiego. Wskazane w artykule materiały z audiodeskrypcją są środkami dydaktycznymi o ogromnym potencjale edukacyjnym, które proponują uczniom niepełnosprawnym fascynującą podróż przez świat różnych znaków.

The audio description is one of the innovative media technologies, which allows to receive texts visual culture by the persons blind or the people low vision. Is an effective tool through which people with disabilities may experience the contents not yet available. For these reasons, the audio description is the subject of the increased interest in the multisensory education. The text presents the basic findings about the audio description and presents the possibilities of using it in school practice, on the lessons of the Polish language. Indicated in article the audio description’s materials are the teaching resources about the huge potential of education that the students with the disabilities have a fascinating journey through the world of different signs.
