The article outlines counselling of the satellite communication era, with counselling seen as a social process in which many social agents are involved. These include the organisers of social life and other society members: potential advice recipients, counsellors (employed in counselling services), researchers (counselling experts, counsellogists). In the industrial era, intentions at the foundation of counselling were different from those the agents of social life have now in the satellite communication era and the network society era. The author analyses this change in its broad context, emphasising endeavours to elaborate an anthropological theory of counselling and its role in solving global problems.

Artykuł przedstawia poradnictwo ery komunikacji satelitarnej, jako społeczny proces, w którym udział bierze wiele podmiotów życia społecznego. Są to organizatorzy życia społecznego, członkowie społeczeństwa – potencjalni klienci poradni, osoby radzące się, doradcy oraz badacze-poradoznawcy. Wspomniane podmioty kierowały się innymi intencjami w okresie industrializmu, a innymi kierują się w okresie ery satelitarnej i społeczeństwa sieci. Autorka analizuje tę zmianę i jej szeroki kontekst, podkreślając, że obecnie dąży się do wypracowania antropologicznej teorii wyjaśniającej znaczenie poradnictwa w rozwiązywaniu ludzkich problemów w skali światowej.
