Women’s migrations are part of the context of global political, economic and social changes. The phenomenon of the growing feminisation of migration conditioned by a greater awareness of women, their emancipation, as well as autonomy. In the era of globalization, entering into marriages mixed is quite common and an interdisciplinary area researching many scientific studies.

Migracje kobiet wpisują się w kontekst globalnych zmian politycznych, gospodarczych i społecznych. Zjawisko rosnącej feminizacji migracji uwarunkowane jest większą świadomością kobiet, ich emancypacją, a także autonomicznością. W dobie globalizacji zawieranie małżeństw mieszanych jest dość powszechne i stanowi interdyscyplinarny obszar badawczy wielu naukowych opracowań.

Różnicowanie się kulturowe państw z jednej strony dekonstruuje model homogenicznej wspólnoty narodowej, a z drugiej strony wymaga utrzymania stabilności instytucji demokratycznych w sytuacji, gdy jego odmienni kulturowo obywatele są coraz bardziej odporni na przymusową asymilację i podporządkowanie. Państwo wielokulturowe winno bowiem aktywnie chronić tożsamości kulturowe swoich obywateli. W efekcie ujawniają się dylematy związane z pojmowaniem obywatelstwa i patriotyzmu, dla których kontekstualnymi odniesieniami stają się wielokulturowość na poziomie państwa oraz międzykulturowość na poziomie indywidualnego obywatela. Stąd różne rodzaje nowego obywatelstwa i patriotyzmu, z modelowymi ich ujęciami, których odczytanie autorka czyni przedmiotem artykułu. Eksponuje wielokulturowość ujawniającą nowe obywatelstwo oraz międzykulturowe konotacje patriotyzmu. Jako użyteczne uznaje spojrzenie na te kategorie z perspektywy pogranicza kultur. W odniesieniu do filarów współistnienia na owym pograniczu, dokonuje konceptualizacji obywatelstwa i patriotyzmu. Wskazuje na ich wielowymiarowy charakter o międzykulturowej konotacji. Postrzega je jako czynniki integrujące zróżnicowane kulturowo społeczeństwo. Ich narodowo-kulturowa, tożsamościowa oraz wspólnotowa proweniencja nadaje procesowi integracji międzykulturowy charakter. Tak pojęta integracja sprzyja ewolucji państwa narodowego w kierunku heterogenicznej wspólnoty narodowej, funkcjonującej w jego granicach.

The cultural diversification of states deconstructs the model of a homogenous national community, yet it requires the maintenance of the stability of democratic institutions in a situation where culturally different citizens are increasingly resistant to forced assimilation and subjugation. A multicultural state must actively protect the cultural identities of its citizens. Some dilemmas arise in the understanding of citizenship and patriotism, for which state multiculturalism and interculturalism at the level of an individual citizen become contextual references. Therefore, the subject of this article is the different types of new citizenship and patriotism, with model approaches to them. The author exposes multiculturalism, revealing the new citizenship and intercultural connotations of patriotism. She looks at these categories from a cultural borderland perspective. With reference to the pillars of coexistence identified on the basis of empirical research in this borderland, the author conceptualizes intercultural citizenship and patriotism. She also points to their multidimensional nature with an intercultural connotation. The author sees them as integrating factors of a culturally diverse society. Their national-cultural, identity, and community provenance gives an intercultural character to the integration process. Integration conceived in this way fosters the evolution of the nation-state into a heterogeneous national community operating within its borders.

The subject of this article is to draw attention to the problems that arise when creating a migration policy in the European Union and Poland in the context of negative demographic projections for the next decade. Migrations of workers in globalizing world become something natural, but attention should be paid to the need for intercultural integration and the development of migration policy. The competitiveness of the European economy within the next decades will depend on the degree of openness to global markets for labor and the susceptibility of Europeans to the changes associated with the inflow of people from completely different cultures.
