This article examines the phenomenon of internal displacement from the perspective of the existing legal framework and those measures which should guarantee protection for internally displaced populations worldwide. With this aim in mind, the article begins by assessing the role of international law and try to ascertain which legal norms are applicable to protect internally displaced persons. As a second step, it analyzes the question of responsibility for the protection of internally displaced persons, i.e. whether this lies with the state of origin through its national law, or rather with the international community, and examines the relevant provisions of international law. While concluding and identifying the existing gaps in the current legislation, the article demonstrates that internally displaced persons should become the objects of a specific system of law and legal protection. At the same time, the text intends to contribute to the contemporary debate promoting efforts to strengthen the protection of internally displaced persons and to disseminate knowledge about this vulnerable group of people.

The purpose of this article is to present scientific papers setting the development direction of social rehabilitation theory and practice in Poland. The presentation begins with the classic ̶̶ theory of Czesław Czapów, the creator of the Warsaw school of social rehabilitation, because this theory has been used in practice and continues to inspire young generation researchers. Most space was devoted to cognitivist-oriented resocialization, using the principles of cognitive-behavioral therapy. Dynamically developing social rehabilitation based on the paradigm of positivity was also presented, including the concept of resilience and the concept of creative resocialization, which postulate working on potentials and developing strengths - factors protecting the individual against pathologies.

It seems that the main sources of the destabilization of Sudan - and in the consequence of the division into two states and numerous internal rebellions - are to be found not only in its complex ethnic and religious situation, but above all in deep cultural differences. The injustice overlapped these cultural differences in economic and social dimensions. This article refers first of all to the cultural key, but it points also to the conceptions which underline the relation between the developed world and underdeveloped (centre and peripheries). This seems to be the principal source of conflicts inside the country.

The article concerns the wartime history of Peru and examines both topdown and bottom-up practices of accounting for the internal conflict of 1980–2000, which were initiated in the background of the warfare. The aim of the article is to discuss the connections I observed between the phenomena referred to in the title: return migrations of the inhabitants of the central-southern province, their search for the victims of forced disappearances, as well as the exhumation challenges emerging since the beginning of the war. In other words, the text constitutes an attempt to contextualise the above-mentioned issues given competing versions of memory about political violence in the Andes, with particular focus on their top-down determinants in the Fujimorism era.

The problem of internal conflict in Peru is a popular research topic that has been analyzed from various scientific perspectives by both domestic and foreign researchers for almost four decades. In addition to the dominant historical and political approaches (mainly focused on structural features of war and its impact on the current shape of the state and society) as well as the anthropological ones (primarily devoted to socio-cultural sources and following reveals of the problem), a significant place is also occupied by the studies of violence, taken up by various disciplines. Application of this perspective is, however, an exceptionally complex task, since, as in the lens, it concentrates systems of links between phenomena and actors, whose figures cannot be clearly outlined. It is particularly evident in relation to forms, scale and perception of terror in the Andes. The article aims at looking for the answer to the question what was going to be the role of the title “terror, cruelty and death” in the military activities in the Peruvian province and how they ultimately influenced collective consciousness of Andean villagers and their attitudes in conflict. Therefore, the analysis concerns, first of all, forms and goals of violence in the Andes and the ways in which serranos visualized them, and then, reactions of the latter to the war experience of dehumanization, death and destruction.

It is more and more difficult for modern man to reconcile assigned social roles, especially the role of a parent and the role of an employee. Family and work are one of the most important values, the implementation of which gives life meaning. However, there are times when these values conflict because they cannot be implemented simultaneously. This article is devoted to the analysis of the causes of this conflict, the ways of solving it, as well as discussing the strategies to prevent such difficult situations. A responsible adult is required to be able to cope with difficult situations, as well as to be aware that there are many ways to achieve your own goals and flexibly react. Obstacles can be treated as challenges, and overcoming them - a source of life satisfaction.

Współczesnemu człowiekowi coraz trudniej godzić wypełnianie przypisanych ról społecznych, zwłaszcza rolę rodzica i rolę pracownika.

The article discusses the topic of pacification sejms in the context of their impact on the systemic transformations of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the systemic practice. The author presents what the pacification sejm was, what role it played as a mechanism in the state system and presents the most common goals of constantly calling the parliament with such specific characteristics. Then, in chronological order, the four parliaments from 1589, 1673, 1699 and 1736 are discussed, because only their debates have been completed. The context of the internal situation at the time of calling the pacification is referred to, and then a description of the achievements of the Sejm in the aspect of interest to the author of influencing the shape of the system and provisions deviating from the current custom. In the summary, the author concludes that the pacification parliaments, despite its original character aimed at calming public moods and restoring peace in the country, often became a tool for carrying out certain systemic improvements. So, it is in consequently a dualism both in purposes and effects. Therefore, these parliaments benefited the Commonwealth as a stabilization instrument and left their certain positive mark on the state system. Beside the Henryk Olszewski brief description of pacificatory sejms and the four monography of successful sejms it’s hard to search a synthesis for that specific issue. This is why author tries to make one universal characteristic of the pacification phenomenon, based on current state of knowledge and his own conclusions about these specific sejms. Such trial seems to be necessary under this circumstances of the lack of currently holistic definition.
