Podejmowanie i realizacja przedsięwzięć budowlanych zależy od wielu czynników zewnętrznych i wewnętrznych. W artykule skupiono uwagę na zewnętrznych uwarunkowaniach przedsięwzięć budowlanych realizowanych w Polsce po przystąpieniu do Unii Europejskiej. Opisano pozytywne i negatywne czynniki zewnętrzne o największym znaczeniu w okresie 2005-2008. Długie cykle inwestycyjne powodują, że zmiany w sektorze budowlanym widoczne są z kilkumiesięcznym opóźnieniem, dlatego też dane do analizy przyjęto z okresu 2005 – 2008 r.

Undertaking and development of the construction projects depend on many factors: external and internal. The paper is focused on external conditions influencing construction projects completed in Poland after its accession to the European Union. Positive and negative external factors, most significant for the period of 2005-2008, are described. As a result of long construction cycles, many changes in the construction sector can be seen few months later. For this reason the analysis was made on the available information gathered in 2005-2008.
