Artykuł traktuje o polskiej polityce energetycznej w kontekście niedawno przyjętej przez rząd linii politycznej, która pierwotnie ma polegać na wsparciu i dokapitalizowaniu polskiego rynku elektroenergetycznego w zakresie dalszego rozwoju i ekspansji technologii węglowych. Została w nim przedstawiona subiektywna ocena obecnego stanu sektora wytworu energii elektrycznej, w mniejszym stopniu ciepła oraz wizja konsekwencji, jakie mogą wyniknąć z takiego stanu rzeczy w perspektywie najbliższych kilku dekad. W dalszej części artykułu zostały przedstawione propozycje zmian strukturalnych, które mogłyby poprawić zarówno energochłonność polskiej gospodarki, jak i jej odporność na wstrząsy wywołane kryzysami energetycznymi, jakie będą miały miejsce w przyszłości.

The article deals with the Polish energy policy in the context of the recently adopted government's political line, which primarily has to rely on the support and recapitalization of the Polish power market based on further development and expansion of coal-based technologies. It is the author’s subjective assessment of the current state of the electricity sector in Poland, to a lesser degree of the heat sector, and the vision of the consequences that might result from such a state of things in the next few decades. Next, the author focuses on the presentation of proposals for structural changes that would improve both the energy consumption of the Polish economy and its resilience to energy shocks in the future.
