Jednym z podstawowych zadań spoczywających na wspólnocie parafialnej Kościoła katolickiego jest tworzenie przestrzeni umożliwiających spotkanie z Bogiem na wspólnej modlitwie, w sakramentach świętych i w słowie Bożym. Ważne jest, by parafie stwarzały również warunki, które mogą pomóc kształtować wiarę i umożliwić jej doświadczenie. Tak wielowymiarowe zadanie, spoczywające na wspólnotach parafialnych, realizuje się m.in. przez planowaną i systematyczną posługę katechetyczną, zwłaszcza tę przygotowującą do przyjęcia sakramentów świętych. Mając na uwadze pluralizm doświadczeń religijnych współczesnej młodzieży oraz potrzebę jak najskuteczniejszego oddziaływania katechetycznego, zwłaszcza w przygotowaniu kandydatów do sakramentu bierzmowania, proponuje się obecnie m.in. zaangażowanie w to przygotowanie większej grupy osób, zarówno duchownych, jak i świeckich, którzy świadectwem swojego życia wiary wzmocnią przekaz katechetyczny. W niniejszym opracowaniu ukazana została rola świeckich animatorów w przygotowaniu kandydatów do sakramentu bierzmowania, istotne elementy formacji animatorów oraz formy posługi. Odpowiedzialna współpraca prowadzona w duchu dialogu oraz wielkoduszności może zaowocować w przyszłym dorosłym życiu katechizowanych.

One of the basic functions of the Catholic Church parish community is creating the space for communing with God in common prayer, the holy sacraments and the Word of God, creating the environment shaping the faith and enabling the experience of faith. This multidimensional task, being part of the parish community work, is implemented, among others, through scheduled and systematic catechetical service, especially when it comes to preparing for the reception of the holy sacraments. Considering the pluralism of contemporary youths’ religious experience and the need for the most effective catechetical impact, especially during the time of preparation for the sacrament of confirmation, what is currently being suggested is the involvement of a larger group of people, both the clergy and the laity, who could enforce the catechetical message with their testimony of the life of faith. This elaboration will show the role of lay animators in the time of preparation of candidates for the sacrament of confirmation, relevant elements of the animators’ formation and forms of service. Responsible cooperation led in the spirit of dialogue and generosity may bring fruit in the future adult life of the catechized.

W artykule zostały zaprezentowane wątki maryjne w katechezie parafialnej i przedsięwzięciach pastoralnych w polskich parafiach. Autorzy ukazali znaczenie parafii oraz rolę mariologii w przekazie katechetycznym. Została zwrócona uwaga zarówno na aspekt pobożnościowy, jak i formacyjny nauczania. W dalszej części przedstawiono wyniki sondażu dotyczącego form kultu maryjnego i uczestnictwa w nich dzieci oraz młodzieży, a także maryjny profil ich formacji w parafialnych grupach. Badania pokazały, iż parafialne wspólnoty skupiają tyko niewielki odsetek dzieci i młodzieży, natomiast większą frekwencją cieszą się formy pobożności i kultu maryjnego w parafiach. Analiza poszczególnych grup wykazała, że ważne jest odpowiednie przygotowanie animatorów i liderów poszczególnych wspólnot nie tylko o charakterze maryjnym.

The article presents Marian motives in parish catechesis and pastoral projects in Poland. The importance of the parish and the role of mariology in catechesis were depicted at first. Attention was paid to both the piety aspect and the teaching about Mary. The paper discusses the results of the survey in 26 selected Polish Catholic parishes on the forms of Marian devotion and the participation of children and young people in Marian services (like the rosary, Rorate Mass, pilgrimages to Marian shrines) as well as the Marian profile of parish groups especially for children and young people. The research has shown that parish groups gather only a small percentage of children and young people, while various forms of Marian devotion in parishes enjoy a higher turnout. The analysis has also stressed the importance of a proper preparation of parish communities leaders as far as the Marian aspect of their activity is concerned.

Due to dynamic cultural changes and related religious transformation there are many attempts to create adequate system of Christian formation in Poland. Such formation should include both the teaching of religion in schools and catechesis realized in the parish. Teaching religion in schools is an irreplaceable form of catechesis, but should be complemented by a parish catechesis. Religious education should focus on the dialogue between faith and culture and above all strengthen the cognitive dimension of catechesis. The parish catechesis should place particular emphasis on Christian initiation and preparation for the sacraments. Only the complementary model of Christian formation involving religious education in school and catechesis in the parish gives hope for the effectiveness of formation.

The author presents a model and a program of extracurricular (optional) classes, the subject of which is the Holy Bible. Biblical school groups offer includes a characterization of the class participants, an ascertainment of the relation of biblical school groups to school religious instruction and parish catechesis as well as a summary of the expected objectives and the form of classes conducted as a part of such activities. The article ends with a detailed program of the biblical school groups work at primary and junior-high school levels.

Odpowiedź na to pytanie, udzielona w artykule, obejmuje następujące kwestie: adresaci tego rodzaju zajęć, relacja szkolnych kół biblijnych do katechezy szkolnej i katechezy parafialnej, cel stawiany takim zajęciom oraz formy zajęć realizowanych w ramach takiego koła. Poszukiwanie odpowiedzi zmierza do zaproponowania programu zajęć dla szkolnych kół biblijnych.

Artykuł ma na celu dokonanie przeglądu refleksji współczesnych polskich katechetyków na temat wiary. Problematyka wiary jest ważna i zawsze aktualna, dlatego często pojawia się ona w wielu publikacjach. Katechetycy podejmują różne problemy, a wśród nich często zajmują się rozwijaniem poznania treści wiary i kształtowaniem postaw wynikających z wiary. Są to problemy wpisane w naturę katechezy i wychowania chrześcijańskiego, dlatego poświęcono im wiele uwagi w niniejszym artykule. Uzupełniono je o definiowanie wiary – polscy katechetycy też o tym piszą, nie można było więc pominąć tej problematyki.

The aim of this article is to review the reflections of contemporary Polish catechists concerning faith. Since the issue of faith is important and always up-to-date it often appears in many publications. Catechists deal with different problems such as developing the perception of faith and the formation of attitudes stemming from faith. These problems are inscribed in the nature of catechesis and Christian education and that is why a lot of attention is paid to them in this article. They are completed with the definition of faith. Polish catechists also write about it so it could not have been omitted.

The present paper continues a series of publications on Eastern and Western Fathers of the Church in biblical catechesis. The Fathers who are recognized with the titles of the Great Doctors of the Church were selected for presentation. The series is neither focused on patristic research, nor concerned in presentation of the broad spectrum of topics related to a particular Father of the Church in catechesis, but it is intended to draw the practical application for biblical catechesis out of the life and works of Fathers. The present paper is dedicated to St. Ambrose, the bishop of Milan. There were presented propositions for biblical catechesis resulting from the realization of purposes of gaining knowledge, acquiring skills and abilities, and building attitudes. Also the six basic tasks of catechesis are referred to.

Współczesny Kościół, aby był skuteczny w obszarze wychowania, musi podjąć określone wyzwania. Pierwszym jest utrzymanie i rozwijanie świadomości w rodzicach, że są pierwszymi wychowawcami swoich dzieci. Dzisiaj bowiem dość często zwalniają się z religijnego wychowania potomstwa. Tymczasem to rodzina jest domowym Kościołem, który dba o rozwój swoich członków. Innym wyzwaniem jest odbudowa katechezy dorosłych. Nie ma takiej katechezy w Polsce. Istnieje natomiast ścisły związek między katechezą rodziców a skutecznym wychowaniem młodego pokolenia. Należy także zadbać, aby rozwijała się katecheza parafialna. Jest ona podstawową drogą wychowania chrześcijańskiego. Nie zastąpi tej katechezy nauczanie religii w szkole, które nie jest do końca katechezą. Nie przyniosła ona w Polsce religijnego ożywienia uczniów. Ważnym wyzwaniem jest również obecność w świecie mediów. Młodzi ludzie traktują świat mediów jako własną przestrzeń życia, która jednak rodzi problemy alienacji z rzeczywistego życia, uzależnienia, chaos informacyjny powodujący niezdolność do wyboru pozytywnych wartości.

The contemporary Church, in order to be effective in the area of education, must take up specific challenges. The first one is to establish and develop parents’ awareness that they are the earliest educators of their children. It is noticed that they quite often discharge themselves from providing religious education for their offspring. Whereas, a family is the Church that looks after the growth of its members. Another challenge is to renew the adult catechesis which does not exist in Poland. There is a close relationship between catechesis of parents and effective education of young people. It is also importat to develop parish catechesis as it is a primary path of Christian education. Such catechesis cannot be replaced by Religious Education at schools, as it is not the proper catechesis. Religious Education has little impact on religious revival of pupils in Poland. Needless to say, resence in the media has a very important role. Young people treat the media as their own living space which, nonetheless, can cause problems of alienation, addiction or chaos information leading to the inability to choose positive values.
