Artykuł prezentuje filozoficzne i antropologiczne spostrzeżenia dotyczące ciała, umysłu i fenomenu kinnar w filozofii hinduistycznej. Podejmuje temat podmiotowości ludzkiej na przykładzie tzw. hinduskiej trzeciej płci. Dotyka tematu tożsamości, seksualności i płci społeczno-kulturowej. Poruszane zagadnienia skłaniają do zrewidowania wiedzy na temat ludzkiej cielesności i umysłowości, płciowości i wiedzy o płci, wykraczając poza granice kulturowe. Temat artykułu został zrealizowany dzięki dostępnej literaturze specjalistycznej oraz własnym badaniom przeprowadzonym w Indiach, w roku 2009, na potrzeby pracy doktorskiej.

The article presents the philosophical and anthropological observations of the body, mind, and the phenomena of kinnar in Hindu philosophy. The topic of human subjectivity is described on the example of the Indian third gender. The discussed issues urge for revision of the knowledge of the human body and mind, sexuality and gender knowledge which exceed cultural boundaries. The subject of the article was realized thanks to available specialist literature and my own research conducted in India in 2009.
