Wstęp: Wśród nowotworów męskiego układu moczowo- -płciowego rak jądra występuje w ok. 2% przypadków nowotworów u mężczyzn i jest jednym z „najmłodszych” guzów. Niewiedzę na jego temat potwierdzają badania statystyczne. Cel pracy: Określenie poziomu wiedzy wybranej grupy mężczyzn na temat nowotworów złośliwych jądra. Materiał i metody: Badania przeprowadzono wśród mężczyzn pochodzących z trzech różnych środowisk. Wykorzystano autorski kwestionariusz ankiety. Wyniki: 76% respondentów potwierdziło możliwość wystąpienia u nich schorzenia, jakim jest rak jądra. 70% ankietowanych nisko oceniło stan swojej wiedzy. Ponadto badani mieli problem z prawidłowym wskazaniem objawów zwiastujących chorobę. Wnioski: Poziom faktycznej wiedzy na temat raka jądra nie jest imponujący. Mężczyźni mają problem z prawidłowym wskazaniem objawów sugerujących rozwijającego się raka jądra.

Background: The testicular cancer is appearing among cancers of the male urogenital system in about 2% of cases of cancers at men and is one from “youngest” of tubers. To his subject statistical surveys are confirming the ignorance. Aim of the study: Determining the level of the knowledge of the chosen group of men about malignant tumours of the nucleus. Material and methods: They conducted research amongst men coming from three various environments. An author’s ques- tionnaire of the questionnaire form. Results: 76% of respondents confirmed the possibility of the diseases, which is testicular cancer. 70% of respondents low rated their knowledge. Moreover examined had a problem with correct showing manifestations heralding the testicular cancer. Conclusions: The level of the actual knowledge about the testicular cancer isn’t  imposing. Men have a problem with correct showing manifestations suggesting the unfolding testicular cancer.
