This scientific essay presents considerations on the factors influencing the political system of a potential human colony on the planet Mars, as part of the “Futurospekcje: Mars 2050” initiative. In particular, the concept of „colony” is narrowed down to, and then four theses are presented regarding the political system on the planet Mars. Each of the theses is then discussed. The essay is summarized with a short commentary indicating its possible shortcomings and factors that will affect the development of the political system, but which could not be included in the essay due to its form.

Niniejszy esej naukowy przedstawia rozważania dotyczące czynników wpływających na ustrój potencjalnej kolonii ludzi na planecie Mars, w ramach inicjatywy Futurospekcje: Mars 2050. W szczególności, dokonane jest zawężenie pojęcia ,,kolonii” a potrzeby eseju, a następnie przedstawione są cztery tezy dotyczące ustroju kolonii na planecie Mars. Każda z tez jest następnie omawiana. Esej jest podsumowany krótkim komentarzem wskazującym na jego możliwe braki oraz na czynniki, które będą mieć wpływ na rozwój ustroju politycznego, ale których nie można było w nim zawrzeć ze względu na formę eseju.

This article describes relations between Greek colonists, that came to the island in 8th c. B.C., and other communities. One of the societies that were taken into consideration, are native inhabitants of Sicily, which origin were also mentioned in first section. Furthermore, in this article were depict contacts with colonies motherland and living in the west side of the island, Carthaginians. At the end of this article, correlation between developed colonies and their inside political situation were also taken in to consideration.

Artykuł opisuje relacje panujące między greckimi kolonistami, którzy przybyli w VIII w. przed Chr. na Sycylię, a innymi społecznościami tam już żyjącymi, m.in. autochtonicznymi mieszkańcami wyspy (o ich pochodzeniu szerzej w pierwszej części artykułu). Zostały również przedstawione stosunki greckich kolonistów z ich miastem macierzystym oraz z Kartagińczykami, zamieszkującymi zachodnią część Sycylii. Uwzględniono także korelacje między rozwiniętymi koloniami oraz ich wewnętrzną sytuacją polityczną.

W artykule autor analizuje ewolucję polityczną Jamajki w l. 1931-1944. W omawianym okresie rozwój polityczny Jamajki pozostaje zdaniem autora pod wpływem Statutu Westmisterskiego z 1931 r. i może być określony jako zgodny z westminsterskim modelem ładu publicznego, który obowiązywał w brytyjskich posiadłościach kolonialnych na Karaibach. Autor bada także wpływ poszczególnych partii i ruchów politycznych na kolonialne społeczeństwo Jamajki. Za punkt zwrotny w historii politycznej Jamajki autor uważa uchwalenie konstytucji tego kraju w 1944 r., która wprowadziła powszechne prawo wyborcze. W omawianym okresie Jamajka była najbardziej rozwiniętym pod względem gospodarczym i politycznym brytyjskim terytorium na Karaibach.

This article analyzes the political development of Jamaica from 1931 to 1944. The political development of Jamaica can be characterized by the Statute of Westminster 1931 and Westminster model of governance colonies on the example of the British possessions in the Caribbean. The article further studies political parties and movements in Jamaica and their impact on colonial society. The turning point in the political history of Jamaica was the adoption of the Constitution of 1944, which introduced universal suffrage. Jamaica was the most politically and economically powerful colony in the British Caribbean.

Im Artikel wird die politische Entwicklung von Jamaika analysiert. Beispiele von britischen Besitzungen in der Karibik werden durch das Statut von Westminster von 1931 und das Westminster-Modell der Kolonialregierung charakterisiert. Die politischen Parteien und Bewegungen in Jamaika und deren Auswirkungen auf die Kolonialgesellschaft werden studiert. Der Wendepunkt in der politischen Geschichte von Jamaika war die Verabschiedung der Verfassung von 1944, die das allgemeine Wahlrecht einführte. Jamaika war in diesem Zeitraum das in wirtschaftlicher und politischer Hinsicht höchstentwickelte britische Gebiete in der Karibik.
