The article focuses on attempting to relate the Polish phrase of 'impoliteness' to Korean and its function within Korean culture. In South Korea, one's age is very important, as evidenced by the idea of honorable social expressions (language system based on showing respect) in language politeness. In Korean society the teaching of politeness begins in elementary in the first grade. Polite social expression always requires the proper grammatical and lexical display of respect towards the elder.
