Rzeczywistość przestrzenna, w której obecnie żyjemy jest zdominowana przez intensywne procesy inwestycyjne. Presji podlegają w szczególności tereny otaczające miasta oraz tereny atrakcyjne przyrodniczo. Przyczynia się to często do degradacji jakości krajobrazu. Dochodzi do bezpowrotnej utraty charakterystycznych cech stanowiących o odrębności (tożsamości) danego miejsca. Ochrona i kształtowanie krajobrazu powinna być zatem jednym z priorytetowych zagadnień w procesie planowania i zarządzania przestrzenią. Niniejszy artykuł koncentruje się na analizie krajobrazu w ujęciu regionalnym i wykorzystuje informacje zawarte w Studium ochrony i kształtowania krajobrazu w Poznańskim Obszarze Metropolitalnym, opracowane w Wielkopolskim Biurze Planowania Przestrzennego w Poznaniu.

In the space reality as we know it today, intense investment processes prevail. This pressure, exerted specifically on the areas surrounding cities and attractive natural areas, poses a considerable threat which often results in degradation of the quality of the landscape. The characteristic features contributing to a venue’s distinctiveness (identity) are irrevocably lost. Landscape protection and landscaping should therefore be among the priorities of the process of spatial planning and space management. This article focuses on the regional aspect of a landscape analysis; it draws on information included in the Study of landscape protection in the Poznań Metropolitan Area as developed by the Wielkopolska Spatial Planning Office in Poznań. In this article we present a method of delimiting landscape units and a typological division of the landscape.
