The new security paradigms show that it is a common matter for all citizens. In order to make the society ready to meet new, often unpredictable threats, it must be subjected to decisive educational actions in this area. Education aims at building a creative, entrepreneurial, independent person who will be confident and aware of his or her behaviour under hazardous conditions. In the education understood in this way, attention should firstly be given to the attributes of the teaching staff - knowledge, attitudes and skills. The teacher prepares generations for future life, shaping at this time the future of the whole society. For this reason, the subject of the presented research has been made the qualifications and competences of the subject Education for Safety (EfS) teachers working in Wroclaw schools. Research problems are included in the question: what are the qualifications and competences of EfS teachers in Wroclaw schools and what are their needs and possibilities in terms of support and development.

Nowe paradygmaty bezpieczeństwa wskazują, że jest ono wspólną sprawą wszystkich obywateli. Aby społeczeństwo było jednak gotowe sprostać współczesnym zagrożeniom, musi podlegać zdecydowanym działaniom edukacyjnym w tym zakresie. Celem szkolnej edukacji na rzecz bezpieczeństwa musi być budowanie człowieka kreatywnego, przedsiębiorczego i samodzielnego, który w warunkach zagrożenia będzie pewny postępowania. Najpierw należy jednak zwrócić uwagę na atrybuty kadry pedagogicznej - wiedzę, postawy i umiejętności. Nauczyciel przygotowując do życia uczniów, kształtuje przyszłość całego społeczeństwa. Z tego powodu przedmiotem prezentowanych badań uczyniono kwalifikacje i kompetencje nauczycieli przedmiotu edukacja dla bezpieczeństwa (EdB) pracujących we wrocławskich szkołach. Problemy badawcze zawierają się w pytaniu: jakie są kwalifikacje i kompetencje nauczycieli EdB we wrocławskich szkołach oraz jakie są ich potrzeby i możliwości w zakresie wsparcia i rozwoju.
