The aim of this article is to examine the issue of offshoring in the region of Central and Eastern Europe. The paper presents the most important factors affecting the attractiveness of this part of Europe for the global offshoring market. Great emphasis is placed on the issue of labor costs. The author argues that present times show that no state characterized by low costs will indefinitely remain a low input state. Increasingly vital to such factors as young professionals, cultural proximity to international customers as well as to the target group, are the location and membership in the EU’s structures, which contribute to the economic and political stability.

Bez wątpienia aksjologiczne wymiary pracy nie mogą być obojętne wobec pro-blemu ambiwalencji generowanych przez nią zjawisk. Wszak praca, stanowiąc teren urzeczywistniania wartości jest jednocześnie źródłem trudności, wymaga wysiłku, ponoszenia kosztów biopsychicznych. Uciążliwości pracy prowadzą do powstawania zmęczenia. Wszystko to jednak podkreśla tylko znaczenie pracy dla człowieka, podkreśla fakt, iż człowiek mimo wszystko dąży świadomie i z uporem do osiągnięcia zamierzonych wyników pracy.
