Artykuł ma na celu ukazać wyniki analizy zachowania naturalności krajobrazu w Obszarze Metropolitalnym Gdańsk - Gdynia - Sopot. Analizy zostały przeprowadzone w granicach jednostek administracyjnych – gmin oraz w polach badawczych o kształcie heksagonu. Uzyskane wyniki wykazują, że wraz ze wzrostem odległości od rdzenia Obszaru Metropolitalnego Gdańsk - Gdynia - Sopot, zwiększa się stopień naturalności krajobrazu. Jednakże, ze względu na ograniczenia przestrzenne w rozwoju osadnictwa (duże zróżnicowanie wysokości, rozległe kompleksy leśne), różnice w stopniu przekształcania antropogenicznego między centrum a peryferiami obszaru metropolitalnego nie są aż tak wysokie.

This article presents results of the landscape naturalness level analysis of the Gdansk-Gdynia-Sopot Metropolitan Area. The study refers to the municipal administrative units and also the hexagonal grid as test fields of the visual statistical analysis. The results show relationship in which the landscape naturalness level increases proportionally to the distance from the core of the metropolitan area. However, the existence of major natural barriers such as high terrain elevation and large forest complexes, result in relatively small differences of anthropogenic transformation level between the core and the outskirts of the metropolitan area.
