W artykule autor skrótowo przedstawił najważniejsze polskie prace lingwistyczne powstałe po 1989 roku poświęcone badaniom języka w mediach. Wymienione zostały przede wszystkim autorskie monografie oraz teksty o charakterze teoretycznym. Przyjęto trzy główne perspektywy opisu. Pierwszą z nich stanowią obszary tematyczne traktowane przez badaczy jako ważne lub charakterystyczne dla komunikacji medialnej. Drugą perspektywę wyznaczają konkretne podsystemy języka i działy ich lingwistycznej analizy. Ostatnią perspektywę opisu determinują poszczególne językowe dyskursy medialne, typowe dla konkretnych technologii.

My article discusses the most important pieces of Polish linguistic research on language in media written after 1989, mostly monographs and theoretical texts. In the discussion they are described in three ways. The first one deals with topical fields treated by researchers as important or characteristic for media communication; the next one describes particular subsystems of language and fields of their linguistic analysis. The last one is determined by specific kinds of linguistic discourse in media, typical of particular technologies.
