Celem artykułu jest przypomnienie XVI-wiecznych łacińsko-polskich słowników Bartłomieja z Bydgoszczy. Nasilenie zainteresowania leksykonami nastąpiło w latach 70. XX wieku, kiedy odnaleziono (uznany po drugiej wojnie światowej za zaginiony) rękopis z 1532 roku i niespodziewanie odkryto słownik z 1544 roku. W artykule kolejno opisano sylwetkę zakonnika, losy jego dzieł, jak również ich budowę i zawartość. Ponadto omówiono dotychczasowe wydania słowników Bartłomieja (B. Erzepkiego oraz nową, łączną, edycję w wersji polsko-łacińskiej). Kolejną kwestią zaprezentowaną w artykule są działania w XX i XXI wieku na rzecz upowszechnienia materiału leksykalnego słowników.

The purpose of the article is reminding the readers of the 16th century Latin-Polish dictionaries by Bartłomiej z Bydgoszczy. The interest in the lexicons increased in the 1970s, when the manuscript from 1532, believed to be lost after the World War II, was found, and unexpectedly the dictionary from 1544 was discovered. The article briefly portraits the monk, outlines the fortunes of his works, and presents their construction and content. Moreover, the editions of the dictionaries published to date are described (Bolesław Erzepki’s edition and the new, joint edition in the Polish-Latin version). The attempts are also discussed undertaken in the 20th and 21th centuries to propagate the lexical material of the dictionaries.
