The lesson plan is aimed for teachers of Polish schools functioning outside of the country and pupils above 13 years of age. It takes into account the different levels of ability in the Polish language and introduces three levels of difficulty: – for students knowing polish at a basic level A – for the intermediate level B – for the advanced level C. The plan consists of one of Adam Mickiewicz ballads and the students mainly work with text.

The paper presents the results of a study in which we analysed planning of musical objectives in the psychomotor domain prepared by 372 Slovenian general education teachers. The research results showed high share of objectives pertaining to the taxonomy category of speech behaviours, which was followed by the categories of gross bodily movements, finely coordinated movements and non-verbal communication. The above facts confirm that music objectives can be classified in the prevailing psychomotor domain and show the utilization of a chosen taxonomy model. The research results also indicate that Slovenian general education teachers are aware of the need for active approaches to music teaching although they pay less attention to music objectives planning in the category of non-verbal communication which exceeds the mere use of words and represents the basis for contemporary approach of music teaching through musical doing and making.

This article presents a lesson plan for German taught as a second language in Middle School. The plan shows the creative integration of a poem by Peter Hacks into the lesson. The artful and partly three-dimensional work improves the understanding of the text and benefits the student’s feeling for the language. The students are guided to the underlying objective through different tasks. In the end, they memorize the poem and present it in front of the class.

The aim of this paper is to investigate the concept of discourse competence as the way to develop university students’ skills: listening, reading, speaking and writing in German as a foreign language. The inspiration for the discussion on this issue was a survey carried out in 2014 among the university students of Applied Linguistics and German at the Marie Curie Skłodowska University (Lublin). The present paper takes didactic proposals as lesson plans into view, which focus consistently on the development of discourse competence with their individual specified skills.
