Celem artykułu jest określenie poziomu innowacyjności przedsiębiorstw na poziomie województw z wykorzystaniem różnych metod taksonomicznych. W pierwszej części artykułu przedstawiono problematykę innowacyjności przedsiębiorstw. W drugiej części na podstawie danych statystycznych określono poziom innowacyjności przedsiębiorstw w poszczególnych województwach, w latach 2010-2014. Wskazano możliwość wykorzystania metod wielowymiarowej analizy porównawczej do ustalenia poziomu innowacyjności. Stosując metody wzorcowe i bezwzorcowe, dokonano porządkowania liniowego województw ze względu na poziom innowacyjności przedsiębiorstw, jak również zbadano zbieżność uzyskanych uporządkowań. Wykorzystując metodę Warda i metodę PAM, pogrupowano województwa z uwagi na podobny poziom innowacyjności przedsiębiorstw. Następnie oceniono efektywność uzyskanych grupowań.

The purpose of this paper is to define the level of innovation in enterprises that conduct business in selected regions with the use of various taxonomic methods. The first part is concerned with issues of enterprise innovation. In the second part, the level of innovation is assessed in individual voivodeships between the years 2010 and 2014, on the basis of statistical data. The author discusses the usefulness of multidimensional comparative analysis to define the level of innovation. A linear classification of the studied voivodeships in terms of enterprise innovation levels is performed, using standard and nonstandard methods. Moreover, the convergence of the classifications is examined. Ward’s method and the PAM method are applied to group the voivodeships according to enterprise innovation level. Finally, the effectiveness of the obtained groupings is assessed.
