Artykuł podejmuje problem, czy teksty literackie z całą swą specyfiką mogą być przedmiotem badań lingwistyki dyskursu. Pierwsza obszerna część zawiera dyskusję teoretyczną na temat za i przeciw włączenia tekstów literackich do lingwistyki dyskursu. Wnioski ukazują, że właśnie te teksty, ze względu na ich formalne ukształtowanie, mogą być istotne dla badań dyskursologicznych. W drugiej, krótszej części, będącej empirycznym potwierdzeniem tego wniosku, przeprowadzono dyskursologiczną analizę porównawczą trzech wierszy (Seidel, Balla i Trakla), odnoszące się do I wojny światowej. Rola językowej organizacji w dyskursie staje się tu oczywista.

In dem Artikel wird das Ziel verfolgt, die typischen persuasiven Sprechhandlungen auf den Startseiten der IVF-Zentren in Deutschland zu ermitteln. Es wird untersucht, wie der spezifische Kontext der Kommunikationssituation (Konkurrenz unter den IVF-Zentren, hoher Grad der Intimität) die sprachlichen Handlungen des Senders determiniert. Es werden auch die wichtigsten Text-Cluster auf den Startseiten der IVF-Kliniken untersucht. Analysiert werden außerdem die Illokutionen, durch die der Autor von der Qualität seiner Dienstleistungen überzeugen will und wofür er den betroffenen kinderlosen Paaren entsprechende Argumente für und allgemeine Informationen über die IVF-Behandlungsmethode präsentiert.

The article discusses typical persuasive speech acts used on the websites of in vitro fertilisation (IVF) centres (clinics) in Germany. The purpose of the paper is to demonstrate how the specific context of the communicative situation (i.e. competition between IVF clinics, a high degree of privacy) determines the speech acts of the sender. The main persuasive text-clusters of the home pages of those websites are characterized. The author explores illocutions in these text-clusters through which senders intend to persuade the audience to use their services. Other illocutions under analysis are those which are employed to present arguments, information about the sender and the IVF method.

Different traditions in various research circles and writing cultures cause that similarly sounding concepts and terms are frequently understood and interpreted in different ways. Even within the German Studies, we may notice considerable differences in understanding certain terminology. The term discourse serves as a good example as it is one of the most frequently occurring and passionately discussed terms in several disciplines and it is explained in a number of ways. Its ‘inflational' use is emphasized. The concept of discourse may be compared to a chameleon. The paper presents critically the relationship between text and discourse in Germanistic linguistics, asking questions concerning the status of discourse, and indicates its research desiderata.

W artykule podjęto istotne problemy komunikacji między narodami i kulturami. Autor zwraca uwagę na niebezpieczeństwo ewentualnej globalizacji kultur, a tym samym sposobów ich wyrażania i porozumiewania się – w ramach tych kultur i pomiędzy nimi. Manipulacja językiem może się przejawiać na płaszczyźnie niektórych pojęć, takich jak tolerancja, powszechnie używanych w publicznym dyskursie, jednak nie zawsze w sposób racjonalnie motywowanych i różnie interpretowanych. Sformułowane przez autora siedem tez staje się przyczynkiem do dyskusji o języku i jego zmieniającej się roli w komunikacji.

Für den linguistisch orientierten Diskursbeschreiber steht außer Frage, dass textlinguistische und textsortenlinguistische Zugänge zur diskursiven Analysepraxis vordergründig und außerdem selbstverständlich sind. In diesem Sinne verstehen sich Konzepte der Inkorporierung von Textsortennetzen in die diskursanalytischen Projekte, die u. A. von Kirsten Adamzik formuliert werden, als Erweiterung der Kooperation zwischen der Text- und Diskurslinguistik. Vertikale wie horizontale Text(sorten)verschränkungen, aus denen sich ihre funktionale und/oder thematische Spezifik und Eigenart ergibt und aus denen die sog. kreative Komponente in einem gegebenen Diskurs oder Diskursausschnitt herausgearbeitet werden kann, können komplementär zur Diskurse determinierenden Iterativität von Phänomenen stehen, die sich aus dem Korpus ergibt. An einigen Exemplifizierungen aus dem in der deutschen und polnischen Presse u. a. im Jahre 2006 kreierten Diskursausschnitt zu Vertreibungen wird im vorliegenden Beitrag versucht, mögliche Ebenen für solche Kooperationen vorzuschlagen.

For a linguistics-oriented discourse researcher there is no doubt that the approach to analytical practice of discourse which is based on text linguistics and linguistics of text types lies in the centre of their attention and seems obvious. In this context the concepts of the incorporation of text types’ interrelations in discursive projects, formulated by Kirsten Adamzik, should be considered as anexpansion of the linguistic cooperation between text linguistics and discourse linguistics. Vertical and horizontal interrelations between text types give rise to their specific functional and/or thematic character. Moreover, in that way the creative components of text types can be developed in discourse analysis. All of them can be seen as complementary to the iterativity that forms a discourse in the analysed corpus. Based on the discourse on the so-called ‘expellees’, created by the Polish and German press in, e.g., 2006, the author will attempt to demonstrate some practical levels of such cooperation.

Dla lingwistycznie ukierunkowanego badacza dyskursu nie ulega wątpliwości, że wynikające z założeń lingwistyki tekstu i lingwistyki rodzaju tekstu podejście do analitycznej praktyki dyskursu jest pierwszoplanowe, i do tego oczywiste. W tym kontekście należy rozumieć koncepty włączenia sieci rodzajów tekstów do projektów analizujących dyskursy, sformułowane m. in. przez Kirsten Adamzik, jako rozszerzenie kooperacji między lingwistyką tekstu a lingwistyką dyskursu. Wertykalne i horyzontalne powiązania rodzajów tekstów, z których wynika funkcjonalna i/lub tematyczna specyfika, dzięki której można wypracować tzw. komponent kreatywny rodzaju tekstu w danym dyskursie lub jego fragmencie, mogą być komplementarne do iteratywności zjawisk dyskursywnych, wynikających z korpusu. Na kilku egzemplifikacjach z wycinka dyskursu na temat wypędzonych, kreowanego w polskiej i niemieckiej prasie m. in. w 2006 roku, zostanie podjęta próba wykazania kilku możliwych płaszczyzn owej kooperacji.

Der Artikel ist fokussiert auf das Verhältnis zwischen Diskursmarker und den Prozess der Rezeption. Unter Nutzung der Begriffe und Methoden der Diskurslinguistik ist es möglich, die unterhalb der Textoberfläche wirkenden Prozesse zu beschreiben und so ein besseres Verständnis von dem Zusammenwirken von Konzept auf der einen Seite und benutzten stilistischen Elementen wie Allegorie auf der anderen Seite zu erhalten. Es war auch möglich zu demonstrieren, dass die Art des Mediums, kombiniert mit einem speziellen Netzwerk von Wissen, spezielle Typen textueller Strukturen und sprachliche Mittel offeriert. Zusammenfassend kann festgehalten werden, dass die kognitive Linguistik in Kombination mit Methoden der Diskursanalyse, ein signifikante Menge an Werkzeugen für die systematische Erforschung von Texten und Diskursen bereitstellt.

The article is focused on the relationship between discourse markers and the process of reception. By using terms and methods of discourse linguistics, it is possible to describe the processes working under the surface of texts and discourses and to obtain a better understanding of the cooperation between the concept on the one side and used stylistic elements such as allegory on the other side. It was also possible to demonstrate that the kind of medium combined with a special network of knowledge offers special types of textual structures and language tools. In conclusion, we would maintain that cognitive linguistics in combination with methods of discourse analysis provides a significant set of tools for the systematic investigation of texts and discourse.

Tematem artykułu jest relacja pomiędzy znacznikami dyskursu a procesem jego recepcji. Użycie terminów i metod lingwistyki dyskursu umożliwia opis procesów działających pod powierzchnią tekstów i dyskursów, a także lepsze zrozumienie wzajemnych oddziaływań pomiędzy konceptem z jednej strony a użytymi elementami stylistycznymi takimi jak alegoria z drugiej. Analiza umożliwiła pokazanie, że rodzaj medium w połączeniu ze szczególną siecią wiedzy stwarza szczególne rodzaje struktur tekstowych i narzędzi językowych. Podsumowując, uważamy, że lingwistyka kognitywna w połączeniu z metodami analizy dyskursu dostarcza ważny zestaw narzędzi dla systematycznych badań tekstów i dyskursów.
