DerVerfasser greift die heutige Tendenz in der Forschung der Pastoralbriefe auf und bestätigt ihren pseudoepigraphischen Charakter. Er möchte ihm aber mehr an Handd es Textes nachgehen. Daher behandelt er die wichtigsten Themen der Pastoralbriefe. 1. Apostolische Tradition und Sukzession; 2. Funktion des Amtes; 3. Die Kirche; 4. Die Form des christlichen Lebens; 5. Theologische Rahmen. Es wird dabei eine Analyse durchgefürt, die das übernommene von Paulus hervorhebt aber auch das „neue” im Verhältnis zur paulinischen Lehre unterstreicht.

The aim of the article is to present the activity of the Polish Catholic Mission in France on the example of letters written by its rector, Fr. Leon Łagoda. The author analyses the content of this collection, referring mainly to the years 1929–1933. The collection sheds light on the pastoral and organisational activity of the Polish Catholic Mission in France. The author makes a clear distinction between the letters which Rector Leon Łagoda addressed to the faithful and the circulars, which were official texts intended for the clergy. A separate category constitutes letters addressed, for instance, to church hierarchs or those related to different celebrations.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie działalności Polskiej Misji Katolickiej we Francji na przykładzie pism jej rektora ks. Leona Łagody. Autor dokonuje analizy zawartości tego zbioru, odnoszącego się głównie do lat 1929-1933, a który rzuca światło na aktywność duszpasterską i organizacyjną władz Polskiej Misji Katolickiej we Francji. Dokonuje wyraźnego rozróżnienia na listy, które rektor ks. Leon Łagoda kierował do wiernych, i okólniki, które były tekstami urzędowymi przeznaczonymi dla duchowieństwa. Osobną kategorię stanowią pisma adresowane np. do hierarchów kościelnych lub związane z obchodami uroczystości.

In addition to the synodal resolutions, which had to be approved by the bishops as the only legislators in the dioecese, they were also obliged to send pastoral letters regarding various pastoral matters, including letters addressed to the faithful and the authorities managing shelters. These letters contained instructions on how to treat the poor or deal with hospital property. The bishops very often dealt with the problem of the poor. They pointed and sought solutions. They put a lot of effort into organizing help in their dioeceses.

Oprócz postanowień synodalnych, które zawsze musiały mieć zatwierdzenie biskupów jako jedynych prawodawców w diecezji, do obowiązków ich było również wystosowywanie przez nich listów pasterskich dotyczących różnych spraw duszpasterskich, w tym również listy skierowane do wiernych oraz władz zarządzających szpitalami. Pisma te zawierały wskazówki, w jaki sposób należało traktować ubogich czy zajmować się majątkiem szpitalnym i szukali rozwiązań. Wkładali wiele wysiłku w organizowanie pomocy w swych diecezjach.

The article presents pastoral teaching of Radom bishops over the years 1992-2012 presented in the context of regular parts of the liturgical year such as: Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter. Bishops with sensitization for the need to shape the faith of the “sheep” entrusted to them. In 20 years they sent 100 pastoral letters trying to explain the important foundations of the Catholic faith. First chapter of the article treats about Advent as a waiting time for the coming of the Savior putting in charge the pattern of Mary. Special attention is appose by the bishops to the preparation of the Lord's coming. In the second chapter about Christmas, attention of the bishops focuses on the new life and his defense. The next chapter addresses the issue of Lent, preparation by fasting, prayer and alms for Easter and parousia. The last chapter refers to the center of the Catholic faith, that is, the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It should be noted that the presented article is probably the first in Poland elaboration of the teaching Radom bishops in pastoral letters during the liturgical year. The author of the article hopes that the efforts made to analyze texts directed to the faithful will contribute to more in-depth reflections on the directions of further pastoral teaching.

Niniejszy artykuł dotyczy nauczania pasterskiego biskupów radomskich na przestrzeni lat 1992-2012 przedstawionego w kontekście stałych części roku liturgicznego, takich jak: Adwent, Boże Narodzenie, Wielki Post, Święta Wielkiej Nocy. Biskupi radomscy, posiadając uwrażliwienie na potrzebę kształtowania wiary powierzonych im „owieczek”, w ciągu 20 lat wystosowali 100 listów pasterskich starając się tłumaczyć istotne fundamenty wiary katolickiej. Pierwszy rozdział artykułu dotyczy tematu Adwentu jako czasu oczekiwania na przyjście Zbawiciela stawiając za wzór Maryję. Szczególną uwagę biskupi poświęcają kwestii przygotowania na przyjście Pana. Drugi rozdział, mówiący o Bożym Narodzeniu, koncentruje myśli biskupów na nowym życiu oraz jego obronie. Kolejny rozdział porusza kwestię Wielkiego Postu, przygotowania się przez post, modlitwę i jałmużnę do Świąt Wielkiej Nocy oraz paruzji. Ostatni rozdział odnosi się do centrum wiary katolickiej: męki, śmierci i zmartwychwstania Jezusa Chrystusa. Należy zauważyć, iż prezentowany artykuł jest prawdopodobnie pierwszym w Polsce opracowaniem nauczania biskupów radomskich w listach pasterskich na przestrzeni roku liturgicznego. Autor artykułu wyraża nadzieję, iż poczynione starania analizy tekstów biskupów radomskich przyczynią się do bardziej pogłębionych refleksji nad kierunkami dalszego pasterskiego nauczania.

Die Erarbeitung der Äußerungen der Tschechischen Bischofskonferenz, besonders ihrer Pastoralbriefen, macht sichtbar, dass damit oft klares Wort zu neuen Aufforderungen gegeben wird. Die thematische Analyse zeigt deutliche Teilung der Äußerungen: zuerst die Äußerungen mit innerkirchlichen Bedeutung, zweitens innerkirchliche Äußerungen mit Überstieg in die zivile Gesellschaft, und drittens die an zivile Gesellschaft gezielten Äußerungen. Zum Unterschied mit den innerkirchlichen Aussagen, die an die zivile Gesellschaft gezielte Äußerungen haben größeres Echo und Bedeutung für öffentliche Meinung gefunden. Im Laufe der Jahren zeigte sich, dass es in den innerkirchlichen Fragen anpassender ist, die Subsidiarität mehr zu betonen, und umgekehrt in den gesellschaftlichen Fragen die Zentralisation vorzuziehen.

Odniesienie się do wypowiedzi Konferencji Biskupów Czech, w szczególności jej listów pasterskich, wyjaśnia, że tym sposobem podane jest często jasne słowo wobec nowych wyzwań. Analiza tematyczna pokazuje wyraźny podział wyrażeń: po pierwsze wypowiedzi skierowane wewnątrz Kościoła, po drugie wypowiedzi skierowane wewnątrz Kościoła z wagą też dla społeczeństwa obywatelskiego, a po trzecie wypowiedzi ukierunkowane do samego społeczeństwa obywatelskiego. W przeciwieństwie do wypowiedzi skierowanych wewnątrz Kościoła, wypowiedzi ukierunkowane do społeczeństwa obywatelskiego znalazły większy oddźwięk i znaczenie dla opinii publicznej. Z biegiem lat okazało się, że dla wewnątrzkościelnych spraw bardziej odpowiednie jest podkreślenie zasady pomocniczości, i odwrotnie – w kwestiach społecznych jest preferowana centralizacja.

Treating of the statements of the Czech Bishops’ Conference, particularly of its pastoral letters, makes clear this is often used to give clear words on new challenges. The thematic analysis shows clear division of the statements surveyed: first the statements targeted within the Church community, secondly statements oriented to the Church’s community with transcendence into civil society, and thirdly statements aimed at civil society. In contrast with the statements targeted in the Church community, statements oriented to civil society have found greater resonance and importance for public opinion. Over the years we can observe that it is worthier to emphasize the principle of subsidiarity in the internal ecclesiastical questions, and vice versa centralization is preferred in statements on social issues.
