The article presents the biography and works of Victor Frankl (1905-2007), the creator of existential analysis and logoteraphy, often called the “Third Viennese School of Psychoteraphy”. Moreover Frankl is also a famous political philosopher. The author regards V. Frankl’s biography in connection with the history of his work and show how experience concentration camps (1942-1945) influences his political philosophy. In the camp, while walking, Frankl found “the way to Damascus” and unconscious God. In his opinion, after World War II the man is still injured, is “homo patients”. People are in the existential vacuum. Why? Frankl found his own way – man has to understand the “meaning and value of life”. He rejects the pessimistic opinion of French existentialism (J.P. Sartre, P. Camus) and expresses his own theses.
