Przedstawiono zrealizowany projekt pływającej szkoły w Makoko, nawodnej dzielnicy miasta Lagos w Nigerii. Ten obiekt low-tech, zbudowany dla lokalnej społeczności oraz sposób jego realizacji, są ciekawym przykładem innowacyjnego inżynieryjnego podejścia do rozwiązywania społecznych oraz ekonomicznych problemów.

The paper presents a project of a Floating School in Makoko, a water community in Lagos, Nigeria. The low-tech project and onsite construction of the com-munity building is an innovative engineering approach to solving social and economical problems.
