The aim of the article is to show neuro-linguistic programming – NLP – as a new approach to communication process. During the last forty years NLP (primary a system of alternative therapy) has become very popular on different fields like business and politics. On the other hand its techniques and methods were questioned by academic circle as using pseudoscientific concepts and terminology. The article presents NLP history and founding, its main techniques as well as the voices of criticism. In last chapter the author is mainly interested in political possible use of neuro-linguistic programming. NLP is also analyzed in the light of political manipulation phenomenon.

Social engineering is the same concept as the concept of social engineering and related to manipulation and disinformation. Review of Christopher Hadnagy’s book Social engineering – the art of gaining power over minds is, according to the principles of art, a set of subjective assessments by the author. These assessments relate first to the impressions of reading, and are supported by their own critical image of the world in which social engineering is applied in the everyday life of each of us. The author of the review points out that the position has an application value, because a higher level of awareness and knowledge on a given topic translates easily into the individual’s safety.

Article raises questions about the criteria of democracy, dispelling commonplace, colloquial, but the media supporting, illusions related to the assessment of what democracy is, what democratic is and what a democracy is not, and as democracy must not be considered. Here are stripped simplistic, dichotomous divisions: the democratic-undemocratic. Democracy, democratic criteria are syndromatic. Similarly incorrect assertions are identifying, by way of implication, democracy with a democratic influence, pressure. Democratic system, its standards, procedures, institutions are often only a curtain ... for undemocratic, or even anti-democratic forms pressure of political actors. Here, under the banner of ‘democracy’, ‘will of the people’, ‘public interest’, etc., democracy can be ... disassembled.

The aim of the article is to verify the opinion upon media manipulative character in the sphere of forming social attitudes and electoral behavior. Political decision process were analyzed in the light of media’s social functioning. The research has showed that communication process on line media – receivers contains manipulation marks. However the manipulation techniques were employed selectively and only in some domains.

The ideological and political strategies and tactics of most numerous Ukrainian and Polish ethno-political movements in the early stage of the Second World War intensified conflict-confrontational character of interethnic communication in the new military-political situation. In particular, model of social order, promoted by OUN (b), stemmed from its members in the formulation of the ideals of the future Ukrainian Independent State, offered to fix full or selective discrimination against other ethnic and political actors in their rights and freedoms , was of distinct extremist orientation, contained elements of populism and, in contemporary military and strategic realities of the deployment of the Second World War clearly showed the political adventurism of ideologues and members of the Bandera movement. We can assert dominance conflict- confrontational discourse vector of Polish-Ukrainian and Ukrainian-Jewish communication through the use of manipulative strategies means of communication technologies advocacy, informational opposition-struggle and technologies forming speeches, rumors based on the analysis of Ukrainian periodicals published in Eastern Galicia and western Volyn’ in the summer-autumn of 1941. This study leads to the reasonable conclusion about the active use of Nazi occupation authorities controlled by Ukrainian periodicals in their own propaganda campaign. The magnitude of the impact of propaganda combined with a broad arsenal of manipulative instrument maintenance and escalation of ethnic conflict interaction in the region outlined in the historical period.
