The article discusses Polish sentences which are based on the same pattern: '...w taki sposób, że...'. The semantic analysis of phrases with the sequence sposób 'manner' has shown that the basic context for the concept of a way, or manner, of doing something accounts for the relational character of this idea. The relation in question occurs between the action, which is mentioned in a sentence, and its description. This meaning can be found/indicated thanks to the thematic-rhematic structure of sentence which distinguishes two functions of '... w taki sposób, że...': expressing the process of doing something, and expressing the manner of doing the thing in question.

This article focuses on the analysis of the semantic and syntactic properties of the motion verb nager in order to determine its objects and adverbs, according to the criterion of non-selection represented inde- pendently by different syntacticians or semanticians. The analysis has been carried out on the basis of  a comparative investigation with French and Polish as the main reference languages. The author’s goal is to compare the argument structures of the predicate nager and its homologues: pływa and płyn, in order to verify the universal status of their presuppositions and selectionnal restrictions.

Mannerism and similarly the Renaissance has its impact on the development of the representational arts. The etymology of the name is connected with the word manner synonymous with the new style. Giuseppe Arcimboldo’s oeuvre exemplifies the style of mannerism in combination with the Renaissance idea of beauty. The mysterious paintings by the amazing painter were commonly admired and attracted many followers. His masterpieces were forgotten by the next generations and their rediscovery can be ascribed to surrealists. All Arcimboldo’s works, which obeyed the rules of bizarre Mannerist painting – multidimensional and surprising – are in accordance with Ludwig Wittgenstein’s aspectual seeing. The philosophical reflection on Arcimboldo’s painting is supposed to show a contemporary audience a new aspect of the Italian master’s works

The article sets out the characteristics of the reason and source of contemporary terrorism as well as an explanation of the general concept of terrorism, including aviation terrorism. Moreover, aviation terrorism is systematised on the ground of the subject of attack. Finally, the article presents a typology of aviation terrorism taking into account the following criteria: manner, form, and means, alongside the anticipated effects of aviation terrorism.

The work is dedicated to the concept and composition of the forensic characteristics of domestic violence in Ukraine. An analysis of the work of forensic scientists on the concept and elements of forensic characteristics was done. On this basis, as well as on the analysis of the investigative and judicial practice, the composition of the forensic characteristic of domestic violence is proposed. It was investigated that to those elements are included: time, place, means, crime manner, victim’s person, offender person, “trace pattern”, which are closely correlated with each other. The analysis of each of the elements is carried out.

Artykuł dotyczy koncepcji kryminalistycznych cech przemocy domowej na Ukrainie. Na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań, a także analizy praktyk śledczych i sądowych ustalono, że proponowany skład kryminalistycznych cech przemocy domowej obejmuje: czas, miejsce, środki, sposób popełnienia przestępstwa, tożsamość ofiary, tożsamość sprawcy, „wzór śladu” – ściśle powiązane ze sobą elementy.
