W opracowaniu poddano oglądowi niewielki wycinek dyskursu ziemiańskiego, ten mianowicie, który przez pryzmat leksyki pozwala zrekonstruować najistotniejsze wartości tego dyskursu. W realizacji tego celu wykorzystano warstwę apelatywną i proprialną słownictwa. Ta pierwsza sfera układa się w wyraziste i obficie reprezentowane pola semantyczne, które można traktować jak swoistą mapę świata, odwzorowującą ziemiańską rzeczywistość. Druga zaś – frekwencyjnie mniej znacząca, jednak istotna jakościowo i specyficzna – stanowi rodzaj sygnałów, odsyłaczy, katalizatorów wartości kultury ziemiańskiej. Analizy prowadzone z tej perspektywy pozwoliły zidentyfikować najistotniejsze dla dyskursu ziemiańskiego wartości w obszarze wartości hedonistycznych, poznawczych i obyczajowych.

The article presents a tiny part of manorial discourse, namely the one which allows to reconstruct the essential values of the discourse in question through its lexis. In order to accomplish that purpose the appellative and proprial layers of the vocabulary have been used. The former forms a distinctive and abundant semantic field, which may be treated as a kind of world map of the landed gentry’s reality. The latter, not so numerous but from a qualitative point of view important and specific, is composed of signals, references, catalysts of manorial culture values. The analyses carried out from that perspective allowed to identify the values essential for the landed gantry’s values in the sphere of hedonistic, cognitive and moral values.
