The article applies to three autobiographical novels written in the 1980s and 1990s by citizens of France, second-generation Algerian immigrants. The authors of these novels widely relate to their own experience of life in the suburbs of French cities. The protagonists are young people who on the one hand feel French and demand acceptance and on the other experience acts of discrimination. Moreover, their relationship to traditional Algerian culture is also ambivalent. The place with which they identify themselves is not France, in spite of the citizenship, nor Algeria, in spite of the origin, but their own district, which is a place where they live their everyday life. The author of the article analyzes the chosen novels through the perspective of the republican model of integration which excludes recognition of ethnic origin of the citizens. The article, referring to M. Foucault’s theory of heterotopia, argues that although the novels in question sensitize French readers to the various social questions, they, paradoxically, support the typical thinking of the republican model.

Poetical project by Sorbian poet Róža Domašcyna fits into the category of „minor literature”, coined by  F.  Guattari  and  G.  Deleuze  in  1975.  Despite  its  inevitably  political,  ecological  and ideological local connotations, it is rooted in the experience of modernity, still unpopular among the contemporary Sorbian writers. Its main topics are: the devastation of Lusatian environment, erotic and cultural hybridity. Domašcyna uses the hybrid nature of Sorbian identity to create an post-modern subject, conscious of the non-transparent nature of language. The result is an original poetry, which suits the current comparative and postcolonial categories of interpretation.

Rozważania te ukazują pozorne podobieństwa omawianych typów literatur, aby wnet uwypuklić kontrasty pomiędzy nimi, badać przyczyny i konsekwencje tych różnic.

Can the exile literature, as a literary production of a social minority, become a minor literature? Analyzing the example of the Persian speaker authors who write in French, this article tries to depict the various aspects of the minor literature and the exile literature, for instance: political context which determines the act of writing, collective character of the literatures in question, difficulties related to the choice of language, importance of writer’s and readers’ “doxa”, image that the society imposes on the author. These reflections show a seeming resemblance between the two types of literature just to contrast one with the other and examine the reasons, as well as the consequences, of the differences that can be observed.

The author takes alook at avery interesting (and still under-investigated) project for creating a Macedonian literature that emerged among the members of what was known as the Macedonian Literary Circle in Sofia (1938–1941), in the context of the concept of “minor literatures” proposed after World War II, in 1975, by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari. The French researchers’ idea appears as aproposal that could build good solutions for the question of the Macedonian Literary Circle’s project being rooted in the Bulgarian linguistic and cultural context, aquestion that is avoided by both Macedonian and Bulgarian discourse.

The article draws on the Deleuzoguattarian conceptualisation of minor literature in order to analyse the literature of Brina Svit. The concepts of (de)territorialisation (schizophrenia), minor, and other attributes of minor literature are employed in the comparative analysis of different literary elements of four of Brina Svit’s novels. The article outlines the ‘line of flight’ (defined as deterritorialisation, de-oedipisation, politicalness, and collectiveness) that manifests itself from Svit’s novels written in Slovenian to the novels written in French. The literature of Brina Svit is placed in between minor literature and minority literature.

“It is important to stress that a variety of positions with respect to feminism, nation, religion and identity are to be found in Anglophone Arab women’s writings. This being the case, it is doubtful whether, in discussing this literary production, much mileage is to be extracted from over emphasis of the notion of its being a conduit of ‘Third World subaltern women.’” (Nash 35) Building on Geoffrey Nash’s statement and reflecting on Deleuze and Guattari’s conceptualization of minor literature and Gloria Anzaldua’s Borderland(s), we will discuss in this paper how the writings of Arab Anglophone women are specific minor and borderland narratives within minor literature(s) through a tentative (re)localization of Arab women’s English literature into distinct and various categories. By referring to various bestselling English works produced by Arab British and Arab American women authors, our aim is to establish a new taxonomy that may fit the specificity of these works

The trend of minor literatures, defined by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari, took up a special place in contemporary literary research. The particular social status of the creator determines within them a wide range of modifications to the fabrics of language, poetics and composition. It is also responsible for the development of a unique philosophical background, adapted to representing the voice of the minority. From the researchers’ point of view, Franz Kafka became the model writer of this movement: a Jew from Prague, writing in German. The author of the article presents an outline of research into the aspects of minor-ness in the work of Zygmunt Krzyżanowski – a Russian writer with a Polish background, one of the
