The purpose of this article is to present some of the results of research on the implementation of Rural Renewal Programme in the municipality of Nowosolna in the Lodzkie Voivodeship (the most active unit in the Rural Renewal Programme activities during the SPO 2004–2006), simultaneously showing the possibilities and effects of applying the monographic approach to this type of research. The fragment of the research results quoted by the author concerns the discussion of the functions of Rural Renewal projects for the development of the local community of the studied community.

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest zaprezentowanie części wyników badań dotyczących realizacji projektów „Odnowy Wsi w gminie Nowosolna w województwie łódzkim” (jednostki najaktywniejszej w działaniach Odnowy Wsi w czasie realizowania SPO 2004–20062) z jednoczesnym pokazaniem możliwości, ale i efektów zastosowania podejścia monograficznego do tego typu badań. Przywołany przez autorkę fragment wyników badań dotyczy omówienia funkcji projektów „Odnowy Wsi” na rzecz rozwoju społeczności lokalnej badanej gminy.
