Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie nowych narzędzi motywowania pracowników w przedsiębior-stwie turystycznym. W pierwszej części zaprezentowane zostały definicje turystyki i jej istota. Następnie wyjaśniono pojęcie motywowania w rozumieniu zarządzania zasobami ludzkimi oraz przedstawiono narzędzia motywowania pracowników. Opisane zostały narzędzia płacowe i pozapłacowe, zarówno materialne, jak i pozamaterialne instrumenty motywowania personelu stosowane przez przedsiębior-stwa turystyczne.

The aim of this article is to present the new tools to motivate employees in a tourism enterprise. The first part presents the definitions of tourism and its essence. Then the author explains the concept of motivation within the meaning of human resource management and the tools to motivate employees. The existing wage and non-wage tools to motivate the staff used by tourism enterprise are described as well.
