The characters connected with old age category in the discourse of love in the Chronicle of Amorous Accidents by Tadeush Konvitski and Shepherd and Shepherdess by Viktor Astafjev were analyzed in this article. We have focused on three types of characters: 1) which are connected with the main love story, 2) which become a center of love story, 3) which are connected with the motive of memory of love. We have analyzed how the same elements, characters, situations and motives, category of old age and love were realized in works of Polish and Russian writers.

Artykuł poświęcony jest postaciom związanym z kategorią starości w dyskursie miłosnym powieści Tadeusza Konwickiego Kronika wypadków miłosnych i Wiktora Astafjewa Pasterz i pasterka. Wyróżniono w nim trzy typy postaci: 1) towarzyszące fabule miłosnej, 2) tworzące fabułę miłosną, 3) związane z motywem pamięci o uczuciu miłosnym. Metoda komparatystyczna i hermeneutyczna pozwalają ocenić specyfikę kategorii starości i miłości w analizowanych powieściach.
