The phenomenal body is an intriguing concept, and Merleau-Ponty’s notion of habit, coupled with motor intentionality, provides a novel perspective on its inner workings. I contend that his portrayal of habit tacitly bears two faces – motoric habit and instrumental habit respectively. The former is an attunement to some bodily possibilities that are already at our disposal while the latter is an explicit relation to external objects and a process of incorporating those objects into our own bodies. These two notions play into each other, creating a mechanism that offers an intuitive illustration and simple productive definition for a dynamic picture of bodyhood. Furthermore, it carries an internal delimitation that marks the boundaries of its application. The result is a view that provides something new to current interpretations of Merleau-Ponty, as well as potential applications in areas that derived from his appeals to motor intentionality.

Проаналізовано сутність діяльності патрульної поліції України в контексті здійснення заходів із забезпечення безпеки дорожнього руху. Розглянуто поняття безпеки дорожнього руху, з’ясовано, що конкретно включає в себе забезпечення безпеки дорожнього руху патрульною поліцією у межах чинного законодавства. Проаналізовано зарубіжний досвід з питань безпеки дорожнього руху, обґрунтовано необхідність використання в Україні зарубіжних практик у процесі організації безпеки дорожнього руху. Акцентовано увагу на необхідності використання зарубіжного досвіду забезпечення безпеки дорожнього руху також під час навчання осіб, які його здійснюють. На основі даних аналізу зарубіжного досвіду організації та регулювання безпеки дорожнього руху, а також статистичних даних про діяльність Національної поліції України загалом і Патрульної поліції зокрема у сфері забезпечення безпеки дорожнього руху сформульовано висновки та рекомендації, практичне застосування яких сприятиме підвищенню рівня безпеки на дорозі. Констатовано, що досвід різних зарубіжних країн має бути більш детально проаналізований, консолідований та модернізований з урахуванням сучасних українських реалій, а надалі – інтегрований у чинну систему забезпечення безпеки дорожнього руху в Україні

It had analyzed essence of the work Ukraine’s (traffic) police concerning measures for traffic safety. It had considered conception of traffic safety and it has been found what specifically including the work police traffic safety within the framework of Ukrainian legislation. It had analyzed the foreign experience concerning traffic safety and it to be proved necessity of application best practices other coutries for road safety in Ukraine. It had drawn attention on fact that the same idea (using foreign experience in traffic safety) must be applied when we teaching police cadets. It had made the conclusions and advices on the ground of data concerning traffic safety from sources: 1) foreign experience concerning organization and regulation of traffic control and safety; 2) statistic data in general from National Police of Ukraine in field of traffic control and safety; 3) statistic data in particular from Patrol Police in field of traffic control and safety. Apply practically these the conclusions and advices led us to increase road safety. It had pointed that the foreign experience concerning organization and regulation of traffic control and safety had to be analyzed and consolidated. Also we have to adapt foreign experience to Ukrainian’s actuals and integrate into acting system for road safety of Ukraine in future.
