The article is devoted to the study of multicultural management in the context of its interaction with the societal system. The main attributes of culture, which affect the international business, are detected. External factors (for each element of the societal system) or a specific situation in a subsidiary (such as age or size) affects the results of a subsidiary and yields different results. Therefore, setting the same goals for a certain performance metric for each manager may not adequately assess its performance. There were characterized multicultural competence of a modern international manager. The key differences between MNCs and TNCs are revealed. Particular emphasis was put on the possibilities of using cultural differences within the global MNEs. The interactions of MNCs with elements of the societal system, positive results and negative consequences are analyzed. The economy itself today is multicultural. In fact, international management involves the planning, organization, management and control of employees and other resources to achieve organizational goals through unique multicultural and multinational boundaries.

Przedmiotem opracowania jest analiza sposobów rozumienia moralności w specyficznym kontekście – zarządzania organizacjami. W celu ukazania różnic w postrzeganiu moralności, w części teoretycznej zaprezentowano wybrane poglądy z filozofii na temat etyki i moralności. W dalszej części opisano wyniki badania ankietowego, mającego na celu przedstawienie opinii respondentów dotyczących moralności w obu sferach. Problem badawczy dotyczy kwestii różnic wynikających z postrzegania moralności przez osoby reprezentujące różne kultury narodowe. Przy opracowywaniu kwestionariusza badawczego autorzy poszukiwali odpowiedzi na następujące pytania: – Czy istnieje związek między pochodzeniem, wykształceniem oraz praktykowaniem religii a opinią na temat tego, co jest moralne, a co nie? – Jaka jest różnica w opinii osób z różnych kultur na temat moralności pewnych sytuacji zdarzających się w miejscu pracy oraz w sposobie postrzegania świata biznesu?

The subject of the study is an analysis of the ways of understanding morality in the specific context – organisation management. To present the differences in perceiving morality, in the theoretical part, the authors presented the selected views from philosophy on the issue of ethics and morality. Further on, they described the findings of the survey aimed at presentation of the respondents’ opinions on morality in both spheres. The research problem concerns the issue of the differences stemming from morality perception by individuals representing different national cultures. While working out the survey questionnaire the authors were searching answers to the following questions: – Is there a relationship between the origin, education and practice of religion and the opinion on what is moral and what is not? – What is the difference in the opinion of individuals from different cultures on the issue of morality of certain situations occurring at work and in the way of perception of the business world?
