Wykorzystanie multimediów ma szczególne znaczenie w naucza-niu języka obcego studentów szkół medycznych, ponieważ opanowanie języ-ka w sztucznych warunkach, czyli poza naturalnym środowiskiem językowym, wymaga stworzenia sytuacji stymulujących komunikację w danym języku. Wy-korzystanie technologii informatycznych w połączeniu z metodologią projektu pozwala studentom zastosować swoją wiedzę i umiejętności w praktyce i zwiększa motywację do nauki języka obcego.

The use of multimedia is of particular importance in the teaching of a foreign language to medical school students, since mastering a language in artificial conditions, that is, outside the language environment of native speakers, requires creating situations that would stimulate communication in the target language. The use of information technologies in combination with the project methodology allows students to practice their knowledge and skills, and is one of the forms of organizing research activities that successfully implements coope-rative activities and motivation to learn a foreign language.

Rzeczywistość generowana przez media zachęca także osoby starsze do swobodnego korzystania z technologii mobilnych. Seniorzy są świadomi, iż wiedza ludzka i nauka ewoluują w zawrotnym tempie. Technologie te są dziś kluczowym czynnikiem warunkującym tempo zmian i poziom rozwoju społecznego współczesnego człowieka. Umberto Eco wręcz konstatuje, iż nowe techniki informacyjne oznaczają nowy sposób myślenia, studiowania, przekazywania ideologii. Dlatego też nie mogą być one obce również ludziom starszym. Komputery, internet, telefony komórkowe czy karty kredytowe zmieniły polską rzeczywistość. Aby seniorzy mogli w niej bezpiecznie funkcjonować, powinni mieć szeroki dostęp do edukacji mobilnej.

Reality generated by media also encourages the elderly to use mobile technology freely. They are aware that human knowledge and science are evolving at staggering speed. These technologies are nowadays a key to the pace of changes and the level of contemporary man development. Umberto Eco states that new information techniques denote new ways of thinking, studying and conveying ideology. Therefore, the elderly cannot be unfamiliar with them. Computers, the Internet and credit cards have changed the Polish reality. In order that the elderly may function safely within it, they need to have wide access to mobile education.
