Celem artykułu jest opisanie projektu tureckiego artysty Buraka Arikana pod tytułem Artist Collector Network jako nowatorskiego przykładu realizacji artystycznej, która łączy w sobie cechy sztuki interaktywnej i teorii metadesignu. Realizacja Arikana, istniejąca jako obraz, interaktywny ekran i kod komputerowy, przekracza przestrzeń galerii sztuki i staje się narzędziem projektowania przyszłych układów i relacji. Elementem, który umożliwia artyście to przekroczenie jest świadome zaprojektowanie interakcji z odbiorcą, który staje się współtwórcą całego układu. Istota projektu Arikana nie wyczerpuje się w komponencie wizualnym, kluczową rolę pełni w nim algorytm. Stworzone przez artystę wizualizacje wykorzystują obraz, jest on jednak tylko narzędziem kierującym uczestnika interakcji do zrozumienia struktury sieci połączeń i co za tym idzie aktywnego uczestnictwa w jej współtworzeniu.

The aim of this article is to describe the project Artist Collector Network, created by Turkish artist Burak Arikan, as an innovative art realization that combines the features of interactive art and metadesign. Art work of Arikan, existing as an image, an interactive screen and a computer code, leaves the space of art gallery and becomes a tool for a future design of systems and relationships. The key element that allows the artist to exceed these is a conscious design of the interaction with the viewer, who finally becomes a co-designer himself. Visual aspect is not the main feature of Arikan’s project, the key element is rather an algorithm that determines it. The visual image is used by the artist as an indicator, leading the viewer to a better understanding of the network diagrammatic structure of connections and subsequently to an active participation in its co-creation.
