W powyższym artykule podjęto się próby analizy jedynie kilku z wielu aspektów, które zawiera w sobie wydarzenie Przemienienia Pańskiego. Skupiono się przede wszystkim na prześledzeniu i porównaniu opowiadania ewangelicznego dotycz ącego Metamorfozy Chrystusa, które ukazane zostało szczegółowo przez trzech Synoptyków. Zwrócono głównie uwagę na różnice i podobieństwa zachodzące w ich relacjach oraz na to, jak poszczególne elementy Ewangelii były rozumiane i interpretowane, mając na uwadze literaturę patrystyczną, badania biblistów i teologów kościelnych. Odniesiono się ponadto do poszczególnych etapów historycznego rozwoju święta Przemienienia, zarówno na Wschodzie jak i Zachodzie.

In this article the author undertakes an attempt to analyze only a few of the many aspects contained in the episode of the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ. Special attention is mainly paid to investigate and compare a gospel story about The Metamorphoses which has been presented in detail by three Synoptics. The author highlights the differences and similarities between the Synoptics Gospels and how their individual elements were understood and interpreted in patristic literature and research of Bible scholars and Christian theologians. Moreover, the author makes reference to various stages in historical development of the Feast of the Transfiguration in both the East and West.
