O efektywności rozwijania umiejętności językowych ucznia decyduje wdrażanie różnorodnych technik w całym procesie nauczania. I to właśnie one są przedmiotem zainteresowania autorki artykułu, w którym można wyodrębnić cztery części. Pierwsza poświęcona jest prezentacji i opisowi technik w zakresie pracy z tekstem, druga – omówieniu technik wykorzystywanych w nauczaniu słownictwa, a trzecia – technik stosowanych w rozwijaniu umiejętności mówienia. Każda z trzech części zaopatrzona jest dodatkowo w sugestie dotyczące możliwości łączenia poszczególnych sprawności językowych w danej sytuacji komunikacyjnej oraz sposoby oceniania. W ostatniej, czwartej części, stanowiącej załącznik, zostały przedstawione przykładowe ćwiczenia ilustrujące wybrane techniki.

Language skills development among students is dependent on variety of techniques introduced during the whole process of teaching, which definitely assert effectiveness in the field. Therefore, introduction of techniques is the main issue of this article. It is composed of four parts. The first one is dedicated to presentation and description of techniques referring to development of reading comprehension skill. The second part displays useful techniques in vocabulary acquisition and the third one concentrates on techniques used in practising speaking. Additionally, each part contains suggestions of how to interconnect language skills in a particular context and how to grade students. The fourth part of the article, which is the final called appendix, comprises examples of activities based on selected techniques.
