First I sketch DRT’s analysis of nominal and temporal anafora, definite descriptions, proper names, universal statements, conditionals and negated statements. Next I discuss some philosophical consequences of DRT and consider whether analysis offered by this theory can be used in the debate between semantic minimalism and contextualism.
